I've been in the market for a comfy, chunky black sandal this spring. I tried the Steve Madden Shallow earlier this year - I like the block heel and relatively lower heel height. I'm a consistent 7.5 but the snaps kept opening when I walked with the 7.5, but I was swimming in the 8 (photo #5).

Then I remembered how much I liked the look of the Munro Abby on many fabbers (especially Natalie - goldenpig), and they were one of Angie's picks in NAS last summer.

I ordered my usual size 7.5 from a Canadian website. They are incredibly comfortable. My question is, does my heel look like it's coming off the back end? I'm wondering if I look like one of Cinderella's stepsisters jamming her foot into a too-small shoe. They do not feel too small. I'm guessing the suede will stretch a bit with wear as well.

I popped into the mall to try on the size 8, and it really seemed significantly bigger and wider. It didn't work.

My question is this. How does the fit look, and secondly (and more importantly), how is the style for me? Should I keep looking? Angie has posted lots of options for the higher vamp, chunkier sandals. I really feel i need to add edge with footwear. I'm looking for something edgy (I know the word is overused), mid heel height, black, and comfy. If I were in the US, I'd order lots to try and return, but it's way more difficult in Canada.

Opinions wanted. What do you think?
