I went to Macy’s to buy the black dress (#10) that got a lot of love and found #1-5 - this festive raspberry and navy lace number which really checks a lot of boxes. Color, incredibly comfortable, sleeves, and length. I feel quite elegant in it. Plus I think it could be worn in many seasons, including holiday and even spring wedding guest. #5 is a better rendition of the raspberry/magenta and navy color than the more burgundy dress photos. No Find as I can’t find it online - American Living, a Macy's house brand, I think. It is a rare non-petite dress that seems to fit – I almost didn’t even try it on, but I liked the colors and style that much.

And then #6-9 caught my eye. It is completely different from anything I have ever worn, and kind of makes me feel like a Charlie’s Angel in a good way, just fun. And it has pockets! I am almost willing to overcome my dislike of sleeveless that exposes the pec muscles. I even considered fashion tape – but jumpsuit/bathroom . . . But does it flatter? Is it the right size? It is quite highwaisted, but I guess that is the trend. I wonder if I tried either a misses small or a petite medium if there would be more arm coverage.

I need to buy two outfits and all of these are reasonably priced. I plan to wear the pewter pointy toes in Finds that I have on with the black dress in #10, but they are at the cobbler, so I broke out a pair of navy pumps of similar heel height to model. Looking at the navy hose, I’m thinking nude might be better, although I also like the leg- slimming effect look.

I also got some new makeup at Macy’s when the lovely SA expressed shock and horror that I hadn’t bought any new eyeshadow in 15 years. I brought in my nearly empty Prescriptives duo and was informed that the brand no longer exists. I bought a fresh 5 color Dior compact and actually used 4 of them!!! I know now that I need to replace all makeup a bit more frequently – I swear I’m really good about mascara (I write the month on each tube with a Sharpie).

Honest feedback needed. And styling suggestions. Ignore the bad lighting which is too dark and bad bras in both - I forgot to change underpinnings. I like all of these a lot and really can’t decide. And the navy Find jumpsuit is on its way - Crepe...Navy ... Tuxedo Stripe.
