So... ever since Rae unveiled this as her fairy godmother shoes I've been hoping my fairy godmother would send me a pair. I picked up a few unexpected hours of consulting and decided I was perhaps my own fairy godmother and placed an order. I got them yesterday and for the first time took Angie's advice to take them for a spin in my closet before making my final decision.

On the pros:
1. I have a love of aviation and space and find them super cool from the idea standpoint
2. They seem like a statement shoe that brings a fresh funky tone (suiting my arty ecclectic side while still feeling sophisticated) to my more classic pieces (for reference all the rest of my closed toe shoes/boots are in #27)
3. Match made in heaven with my bottle green moto (5,18) and silver leather jacket (9), unorphaned my taupe brooks bros blazer(#23)
4. They are very well made, plenty wide, have a very flat sole which is good for my fussy feet
5. I can wear socks with them (which i identified as a hole last winter)
6. I walked in them quite comfortably all over the house for 30 minutes and didnt exp. any toe trips (... yet...)

One the cons:
1. I had pictured them as more a blend of pink/gray/blue/green/yellow blend but the green/yellow are most prominent. My wardrobe has more blues/purples/fuschia and I am not sure if the shoes require bookending or work as a stand alone. I thikn they stand alone with gray/white/black... but with other colors? I dont think they work with the bubblegum pink or lavendar tops. Do they work with cobalt?
2. They make me feel like my feet look very long (they are a very long shoe b/c of how the toe box gets pointed at the end -- MY LARGEST CONCERN, I am paranoid about my big feet since some stupid story in our 5th grade reader about a girl with feet as small of deer hooves ... what story was that?)
3. The narrow part of my instep by the laces are almost touching barefoot so if they stretch much they may be hard to fasten down when barefoot (the size down is sold out everywhere I've looked, and I think would pinch my toes when wearing socks)

What do I need to think about that I havent mentioned here?
I dont want to make a wardrobe orphan. This is a K/R ALL thoughts appreciated
