I feel kind of bad that all I seem to post anymore is K/Rs, but nevertheless here we go.
I'm looking to replace a few coats for this year. I'm also looking for a thicker wool coat, but first up are options for a new mid-weight wool coat, since it's getting up on the time when I'll need one of those.
I went shopping the other week and found two options I liked enough to come home as possibilities.
First up (#1-2) is a black peacoat. I never even would've tried this on, since it's not a petite and since double-breasted styles generally aren't the most flattering on me, but the saleswoman suggested it and I think it actually works. (Bonus: The picture shows one of my first attempts to wear rolled-up jeans. Kind of stumpifying, but not awful, I think.)
Second (#3-4) is a tweed swing coat. I liked this in the store but, the more I look at it, the more I think the peacoat is the better choice. I think it's more flattering, especially from the back thanks to the peplum/ruffle detail, and the shorter length makes it more different for me, since most of my coats are longer. Thoughts?
And for the button question: The peacoat's buttons all have the Michael Kors logo on them. Which isn't the type of thing that normally bugs me, but, since the buttons are pretty prominent, especially in the gold, and there's so many of them, it's a little overly logo-ed for my taste. Would switching out the buttons if I keep this coat just be silly and overthink-y? I'd probably stay with gold, since I like how it stands out, and go for either something as close to the original as I can find or something a little more distinctive like these or these.
Anyway, thanks for looking and all feedback is welcome!
