K/R: Macy's B44 Knockoff pics! (pic heavy)

The moment of truth!

1-2: Size small
3-5: Size medium... I don't think I like this size as much. It just kind of hangs and doesn't fit as nicely at the waist.
6-10: Styling ideas, all done up with the small - I think Natalie suggested the citron jacket, which I wouldn't have thought of.

So! Questions:
- Is this flattering overall? Too sexy? Too OTT for me? Does it emphasize my rectangle leanings too much?
- Ok with boots, or should I stick with pumps?
- Is this ME? Do I still look like Rae in this style?
- ...and finally: yay (keep)? or nay (return)?

I really like this on you, and love it with the light colored boots, but I'm not loving your jacket choices. It seems to need a more cropped fitted jacket. #10 is my fave of the lot, #9 my second fave.

I'm probably going to be the lone voice, but I actually much prefer the M on you, vs. the S. I like how it skims you rather than grips you, if that makes sense :). But--I should go on record as saying that I don't generally dig super body conscious dresses, especially for work, so that is certainly influencing my vote. Just my two cents, of course!!

Keep the small! You look fantastic, Rae. I think you've made it your own, no question. For work, I like it best with a jacket (to deal with Jonesy's issue). For date, take the jacket off. And shine!

You're always adorable but I'm iffy on this dress. It fits well in the body but it looks too long to me. Plus the pattern is screaming bride of the mummy - the bailey 44 one doesn't, maybe the angles of the stripes are different? However, I am a stripe-hater so take with a grain of salt!

I love it in 9 best, because it bcomes a neutral behind the blazer!

You look lovely, Rae! I prefer the small and think the dress is meant to skim your curves. The medium seems to hang a bit on you. I especially like styling options are #6, 9 and 10. This is a dress that can be worn with both boots and pumps. Keep!

Ooh, the votes are a bit split so far! I am curious to see how this goes.

QM - thank you for the honest opinion. Unfortunately most cropped jackets aren't so cropped on me. That's the way it goes... :T

Angie - Hubs asked how much, asked me to spin around in it, and ultimately said it is "nice" and gave a keep vote. I can tell he is not in orbit, but he does not get excited about dresses and skirts.

Jonesy - I hear you re: form fitting items at work. The M just feels like a nightgown, flapping against my body a bit.

IK - You say "bride of the mummy" like it's a bad thing! o_0

Keep the SMALL! This is very "you". It's sexy but not obnoxious, and I love your styling. The black jackie with the frownie face maybe not as much as the others. I think both pairs of boots (yes, look like the same heels as mine) are AWESOME with it.

I wish I needed another dress.

Rae, you scored with this dress! You win the savvy purchase award for sure. I think the small is better - I like the length of it more than the medium. And you never know, a knit dress might stretch a bit with wearing. You did well and the result is stunning!!

Great find Rae! You look awesome! Definitely keep the small--it fits you perfectly. The medium is too loose and the tiers just hang down. The orange jacket with nude pumps is perfect for work. The gray cardigan is nice for an evening out. And I'll stick up for the citron jacket since no one has mentioned it yet :). I think that's a fun casual look and very Rae! Good job!

I missed the talk about this Macy's knock-off, but I NEED one too So, what label is it, please?

I tried the B44 one the other day Anthro, and it WAS nice but I cannot get $178 worth of wear out of it. . .

ETA: Never mind, I found it in Parsley's thread and just ordered for myself **happy dance**

Andrea B. - I think it's a great deal and worth trying out. To give you an idea, I usually wear a 2-4 in bottoms, occasionally a 6.

Rae, I think the small looks fabulous on you, and black will work with your wardrobe. The stripes are tan which is a nice surprise.

Confession time: I ordered these too, for comparison. The quality is different - softer than the B44 dress, but not as substantial. The tiers are cut slightly differently too - the top tier is straight rather than angled, and a little longer. And the edges seem to curl. But overall, it is a very close knock-off. I haven't actually tried them on yet.

What are your thoughts?

Seems like the aye's have it! I feel really good in it, too, so that makes me happy.

Una, for less than 1/4 the Anthro price (there was a holiday promo going), I'm very satisfied with the dress. So much so that I'm really tempted to get the purple one despite the price... (like, if the knockoff is *this* good, the real deal must be amazing). Since I really *should* be focusing on pants and all, this is a good compromise.

Rae, it looks super FAB on you! I'm so tempted to buy this dress but I really think it suits a bit of hip curve better than straight hips. Do you feel that when you sit down the stomach is even more emphasized? (ACK, I know I'm too focused on my tummy pooch!)

Go with the Small. It looks fantastic and very *Rae* to me. Styling options are endless and really change the look of the dress.

FWIW, I looked at the Anthro purple and orange dress in the store the other day. Very disappointing quality for the price, I thought. So I wouldn't duplicate this in purple....
