The Marisa linen capris have pushed me to think about more linen for casual pants. I envision wearing them for errands/grocery, lunch with friends, keeping legs covered outside on a cool summer evening, or even schlepping around the house.
1. Willie Smith from TJ Maxx. They are a smidge long with the Splendid sandals in these pictures but would not need to be shortened with my higher heeled tan strappy Clarks.
2. Athleta. These have the Athleta details that make them a very casual look - seaming up the legs and the embroidered waist. The fabric and fabrication is nicer than the Willie Smith's but the wedgie in the back view should probably knock them out of contention. One foot is Splendid wedge sandal and the other is Birkenstock.
I would be tempted to hem which ever pair I keep to a flat Birkenstock type sandal. Are the wider legs too overwhelming on me? I don't need two pair so would only keep one.
