I've been looking for a pair of oxfords; so many flats are uncomfortable and don't stay on my low-volume, narrow feet, so I wanted to have at least one pair of shoes with laces. I also like the menswear vibe of oxfords. I keep hoping Everlane will bring back their oxfords in oxblood; I just don't like any of the colors available now.
But in the process of looking, I found these... normally $175, grabbed on sale for $70. They fit well and seem to be comfortable (though I can never tell for sure with an around-the-house wearing... only true test is when I take them out into the world). The pattern is beautiful; I lost my sweet leopard-spotted cat (a Bengal) in January, and the pattern reminds me of him. They're just much more attention grabbing than I usually go for in shoes. And very pointy. But I think they're growing on me... thoughts? What does one wear with pointy leopard-spotted oxfords?
(This outfit isn't what I would have picked to wear with these shoes... but I actually don't dislike it as much as I would have expected.)
