k/r: leather pants

which if any should i keep?

1-3: halogen ankle pant in black size 6p. loose all over. weird shape.
4-6: jcrew legging in black size 4. snug but loose at the waist
7-9: jcrew legging in ink size 2: snug and a bit tight at the calf.

how much will these bag out? if i size up in the jcrew legging, i don't want elephant knees or baggy butt. if i don't size up, will people be able to read my lips?

Either the JCrew 2 or 4. My leather leggings have stretched out. I'd say the two. I sold my leather paneled leggings that were too big in the waist to Jenava. I was always hiking them up.

i'm sitting at the computer in the jcrew 2's to see how baggy they get.

should i keep looking?

My favorites are Acne. But they're very spendy, I did get them on sale. Trust me this is one thing you don't want to cheap out on.

i might try jbrand. their jeans work really well on me.

I think mine were called The Best. Anyways if JBrand fits you well, seriously consider those.

I actually think all of these are too short. I suggest looking at JBrand as well, also DarylK.

They all stretch. I have a pair from the Row that I got on consignment that are gorgeous and have held up well. Need to lose a few pounds to get back in them. Are they all comfortable?

@anna, i found your acnes at elyse walker--cheaper than the jcrews! on their way in 3 sizes.

@ik, the jcrews have at least two more inches that i cuffed under. will be looking at the jbrands at nordies if the acnes don't work out.

@una, i would love to get a pair of the rows on consignment! the 2s are very comfy--the leather is super soft. that's why i'm worried about too much stretching out.

The first looks way too big. I don't think the fit of any is perfect for yup, but of these I like the JCrew 2 best. Have you tried any of the part leather, part stretchy fabric? I wonder if they would be easier to fit.
My leather pants were 99 cents on clearance at the Good Will. I like how warm and wind proof they are in the winter and have been looking for a better pair but so far have not found them. My pair is lined and doesn't seem to stretch. I need to lose a couple of inches before I wear them this winter for a fluid fit.

OK now that I'm looking at these on my computer instead of my phone, I think you should keep looking. To me these are neither fitted nor loose enough. I am the last person to talk about fit since I am all about the fit hack - but you have a great figure and these don't quite do it justice.

the jcrew 2s were super baggy at the waist after 2 hours of sitting. then they developed a weird flapping sound when i walked. does that happen to any of you?

i'll try the acnes, then work my way to jbrands. i keep thinking that leather pants will be what i need to update the rest of my wardrobe.

No flappage with mine! You may want to try a nice pair of fakes first and see if your wardrobe is crying for leather pants. I may end up wearing the ponte coated ones more just because they are less fussy somehow.

yes...i just saw a pair of coated ankle skinnies at br. i have a pair of coated brown skinnies and navy leggings. maybe i'll try working with those first.
