K/R: khaki alternative?

Banana Republic Sloans fit me so well I tried one of the new colors during their 40% off sale. Are these too similar to my rust jeans? Do they make me look nekkid on the bottom? I'm thinking of them as an alternative to khaki to copy some of my fave Pinterest looks...

ETA: should I wait for something with a skinnier leg that is able to tuck into boots?

You do not look naked! LOL Do they feel comfy when you sit down? I think they are not quite beige and could be very versatile. Also, they seem to fit you very well.

They are very similar to your rust jeans, but if these would fill a wardrobe hole or be easy to wear for work, then I absolutely think they are justified. Pants that are comfortable and easy to combine in outfits are well worth their price, IMO, and the 40% off makes it that much better. And, no, I don't think they make you look naked!

These are the Sloans? I didn't know Sloans were skinny, nice! I would call these camel and they should be perfect for your Pinterest purposes. Great fit; keep!

LOL on nekkid. No I don't see that at all. I think they would be a great work item for you and think they are sufficiently different from the rusties.
Can you see yourself getting good usage?

Not naked and the fit is fab! I would keep - you will have TONS of things in your closet that will work with these.

Great fit. Can't you tuck those into boots? The color is a nice neutral and I await your color pairings with interest ... hot pink pumps, perhaps?

At first glance, the color seems similar to your rust, but that is sitting from here. If you think they are different enough and inspire different looks, I say go for it! Can't beat the 40% off price!

Added a pic of my rust skinnies. Unfortunately this style does not work with boots at all. They technically fit into the boots, but since the knee is not fitted they bunch up unattractively.

Would those straps work for tucking? The ones that are like mitten clips that create a stirrup for the pants? I love the color.

I like them on you. The fit looks good and the color may serve that nearly khaki function you are looking to achieve. No naked look at all and it is clever to seek your own khaki, which I find a hard color to wear.

I think they are a great alternative to Khaki, but they are similar to your rust jeans. And that's not a bad thing - I have several clothing items that are similar but I wear them differently. Do you have ways that you would wear them that are different from your rust jeans?

To me, the saving grace is that they *do* bunch up a bit because, going by my monitor, if I saw you across the street and with your arms covered up, I would probably look twice to see if you were naked. They might not be your skin color but, on my monitor, they do look a lot like someone's skin color.

I like them, they remind me of my mustard skinnies which are surprisingly versatile.
Have you tried tucking into shorter (midcalf or so) boots where the slight bagginess looks intentional?

I've done a double-take on the street many times lately when I see this shade, particularly on tops. The nekkid question is a good one and I've thought that the look is designed to be perceived in some way as nude. Have made a mental note not to include in my wardrobe, but that is just me and YMMV.

Ok, here they are with the suggested short boots and with arms covered as Vildy noted - with the arms covered, do you do a nekkid double take? Pic 2 is one khaki inspiration.

Stirrups won't work for these; there is just too much fabric, like if you tucked bootcuts into fitted boots.

I could also try one of these, but maybe the tighter fit would create more of a nude look despite the color?

I think they look good with the calf-high boots. They seem like a good alternative to khaki to me. If you can put together the outfits you want with them, then I would keep.

Oh! I love those moto legging jeans. They aren't on the Gap Canada site I hope they show up soon!
