K/R: Jonesy's sandals

Sorry for posting twice in a day. OK, so I've loved these Miz Mooz sandals ever since Jonesy first posted them, but ankle straps on someone 5'1" are very different than they are on someone 5'11". But then they went on sale at endless, so I'm trying them in yellow to see if they are low enough contrast that I can get away with it.

I probably would only wear them with bermudas and clams, not with this midi dress, which adds to the leg shortening effect (but it's too hot to be changing clothes).

Yay - they are a great, neutral flat sandal

Nay - the stumpifying factor is Way Too Strong

Keep; they totally work in yellow! I ordered them this morning too, in blue-black as my black sandals just fell apart on me.....I'm just between you and Jonesy in height so I'm hoping the dark color will work.

I am loving these. SO clever of you to choose yellow.

Here is the thing, though...and I say this as someone with similar insecurities. Do you have any doubts yourself? Are you feeling stumped (so to speak)? If so, why not post with the outfits you'd actually wear them with, just in case.

I say this because my red ankle strapped shoes still make me feel a little stumped and I am struggling to wear them as much as I might, even though I love them and rationally I think they look pretty good, all things considered. Mind you, red is very different from yellow. But I'm talking about feelings, not actual looks.

I like them very much! No stump factor but I am so glad you probably wouldn't be wearing them with a midi!

FAB!! I even love them with the midi--I don't really see any significant leg shortening at all. They bookend your hair really well.

Of course you look lovely as usual. However I am with Suz here. I would think the jump is too far to be 100% comfortable. The problem being the combination of absolute flat + wide ankle strap. Either one on their own would work. But together it is too much. I know, I have very similar features to yours. And I am also sensitive to the stumpifying factor. I know that I would feel uncomfortable in those. They cut the leg length too much visually. An alternative is therefore to wear very short things with it: tunic dress, mini skirt, short shorts... and I know this is not your style.

So unlike everyone else here, I vote Nay.

The dress is awesome though! And again I love your hair. You look so beautiful!

These seem low contrast and I really don't see the stump factor. I think I wear a lot of high vamp stump making shoes though. Still I say keep!

Suz, I will definitely try them out with shorts and make sure I feel OK in them. That is very good advice.

I like the sandals very much - just make sure you love them and go with that.
Also wanted to say that I admire the nice kilim near your feet in the picture - my DH collects rugs so I always spot those lol.

I voted yay. I really like these! Looks like they fit your foot well. I have exactly the same issues as you with ankle straps, so I think Suz's advise is really smart too.

I can't see the stumpifying either, though Suz has given very sound advice. I love the shade of yellow you chose --- it's *colour*, but close to nude and bookends your hair too. Great idea. I vote keep!

I like them! I think you will get a ton of use out of them. I like the little wedge heel.
