K/R Jeans - Round 73? ETA: New Pics Added

Okay, maybe not 73 iterations, but feels like it. Two pairs of jeans arrived from Talbots, both have gone back. Perhaps the end of a cold and brutal winter is not the ideal time to shop for jeans!

Straight legs are definately tougher to find for me than boot cuts. Starting to wonder if I should just stick with boot cuts rather than a jeans capsule.

Here are the JAG jeans Angie recomended. Honest thoughts and opinions welcome! I don't want a dud, so if it, please be honest with me. At this point in the battle, I have invested too much to settle!

ETA: New Pics added. I am pretty torn on these. On one hand, I think they will break in and be comfortable. On the other hand, I am just so unsure about fit, especially as they are long. The inseam is actually 34.5 inches - online it said 32. I have tucked them under in these pictures.

I took them both with the wrap and just the shirt I wore under the wrap.

I like the side and back views. But it looks like there is some creasing/folds around the front, could you post another, closer-up picture of the front? Or maybe they need to be pulled down a hair?

I like the dark denim finish and I find the cut quite flattering on you. How do they feel?

They are actually comfy. They pull on, so I couldn't tuck. But I don't anyway. The waist is a bit big, and I can't have it made smaller or they won't go over the hips.

They are a softer fabric, and after carrying DD, my tummy didn't snap back into its old shape. Apparantly, the extra "give" your tummy gives doesn't always go away. A momento to go with the horrific stretch marks!

I will try to get a better front shot tonight.

From what I can see, they look great! I'll definitely be interested in the pics you post later tonight. They have a very strong break because they are a bit too long. When you try them on tonight, I'd love to see them with the shoes you plan to wear them with and cuffed under to what will be PPL for you. I bet the leg looks even nicer when there isn't as much wrinkling from the heavy break.

I think they look good other than the length being a bit too long for the shoes you're wearing. They're so dark that I can't see the front very well, but from I can see, they look ok. They seem to fit quite well from the back and side views.

I like these but I am also worried about what might be going on in the front.

PS I had a 9 lb baby and my stomach won't bounce back either! When I have an extra $14k lying around I will have my stomach laced back up like a corset.

Modgirl - DD was 9.5 pounds, so I know what you mean!

These look like the best yet! I suggest you wear them around for awhile, bend, squat, etc. I have Jag pull-ons, and they stretch out a bit.

I think I have a short rise since mine were loose around the waist but otherwise fit. I took them in on each side which means I have to shimmy as I pull them up. They are still a bit loose, but if I take them in more, they won't go over my hips. My solution was to make a thread belt loop (blanket stitch over the looped thread) at the center back and wear a really, really wide belt. I need to wear a belt to keep the PPL bootcuts from dragging. If they were straight leg, I probably would not have bothered.

Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda straight legs fit me. They are high/mid-rise. Mine are colored so not really denim and ancient. I've seen them sold at Costco. I remember buying one pair at Ross; the other pair was from JC Penney or comparable store, so a lowish price point, esp. on sale, figure under $35. They are also sold on Amazon.

I think these look really good Thistle and I suspect the strong break in the front will disappear when the leg length is correct and the jeans get washed once and soften up.

Thistle, maybe it is the dark wash but these look the best to me so far. You are a woman on a mission!

Yeah! Love these! I have the pull on bootcuts, and I chose to size down at the last minute, even though I had to shimmy to get them up. They do give some. Of course, I'm shaped a little differently, so they're not too large in the waist for me. I do have another pair of jeans for "tucking," but these are by far my most comfortable pair, and I wear them when I travel because they stay polished looking, but are non-binding.

Thistle, these are very flattering on you. The fit looks great and the dark wash Is beautiful. Do you plan to wear them with heels or flats? The bunching below the calf will disappear with heels or you could get them hemmed for flats.
I think these are a winner.

I only wear flats - well up to 1.5 inch heel or so, so yes, I would need to get them hemmed. DD is being a bit high maitntence, so may have to get pics later!

I think these look good on you! Do you still have enough winter left to wear them this year? If not, you might wait until fall. Your shape could change or you might decide you want a different style.

These are great! I love the wash and the lengthening effect on your legs. Not sure how you feel about them but have you tried trouser jeans? I love how they can go either way. I know you worry about volume but I think it's worth a look-see (you don't have to post, just sneak into a fitting room with a pair and feel out whether you even like them or not).

I need to find some trouser jeans to try, too. Especially as budget is freeing up on the Talbots return of boyfriend jeans!

I think they look great! Length is the easiest thing to alter and you'll have to alter just about any jeans. (do it after they are washed as they will shrink a little). You can even hem them yourself if you are at all handy.

My kids were 8#10oz and 9#4 oz! Big happy babies!
