Natalie, you have saved all of us a ton of time and money by trying so many of the collection! Thank you.
I like #10 a lot, it is different. I also like #13, but it is similar to #10. It looks more ordinary than #10, but more comfortable. I would keep either of those.
Thanks Claudia for the link! If it's good enough for the First Lady then it must be good enough for me, LOL! Maybe I will try it with my ink blue cardigan too. I think I like the V neckline on #13 better on me than the crew neck on #10. The good thing about that dress is it's so huge without the belt, it could double as a maternity dress if I ever had another baby! LOL!
I'm confused about why this stuff doesn't look good on me. I'm going to have to give that first dress another try because I really like that style the most of all these pieces. It looked so good on Heather, why doesn't it look good on me? Help me analyze, please! And be honest, don't worry about hurting my feelings. (I'm genuinely curious, so I will know what to look for next time!) Thanks!
Natalie, I dissed the dress on you because it looked like the waist was too high.....so I would bet that you are longer waisted than Heather, where the dress looks like it is sitting on her true waist....
Also, I am especially critical lately of your K/R because I've seen so many really fab dresses in your closet.....so I was comparing these dresses to those because I thought your closet was basically "done" and I assumed you would want only 10+'s......is that a fair assumption? It occurs to me that maybe I shouldn't assume that you are not interested in expanding your wardrobe with perfect items, and I shouldn't assume that you don't have any real holes left.......
About the blue dress, as you know, an item of mass produced clothing will never fit two people the same way. I am a bit puzzled by your question, honestly.
I mean, Modgrl and I tried the same polka dot blouse she is wearing on her WIW today. Actually, a bunch of us tried it, in different colors.
As you can see, that blouse on her looks killer. On me it looks OK, just OK. I would not really lose a second trying to come up with reasons why.
Isis, Rita and Zap, you are all so wise and thoughtful! I'm still rather new at this so sometimes I let my emotions get in the way of things! I still have to keep reminding myself it's not me, it's the clothes!
Isis, you are right, I am lucky to have a bunch of fab stuff! I've tried on and returned massive amounts of clothes so I could afford to be picky and keep only the best. I still am aiming for 10's. But honestly, I think I'm being a little less rigorous with these ones because both DH and DD have asked me to stop buying clothes, so it's my only chance for some spring/summer clothes for the forseeable future, LOL! I'm full up on fall/winter clothes but spring/summer is a relative hole for me.
