K/R: Jacket Frenzy +more - YouLookFab Forum

Dear YLF,
your valuable opinion is needed. I am trying to add more jackets to my work wardrobe, but not too conservative/banker looking. I need your opinion on the style and fit of these jackets. (not styled as outfit).

Pic1: Purple suit jacket - because it's Vince Camuto, in a petite, and the pretty shade. I think it may be a tad small when buttoned. Your verdict?

Pic2: same purple jacket with a Foxcraft non-iron shirt. I love the pattern and silky fabric. How's the fit? Is the collar of the shirt funny? is the shirt K or R? Wear Collar in or out?

Pic3: Olive high/low jacket. Open closure. It look really nice in mirror. It's by Love Ady, anyone can speak to the quality? I paid close to full price on this one, if i t's not 10, it's going back (esp i noticed a tiny snag on it). Bonus really thin springy sweater.. I really like this, what say you?

Pic4: fun dotty jacket. open closure/no button. I love the reflection in the mirror. Not positive from the pic though. Also bonus long skirt, it's very thin cotton. Is the style outdated? Is it accentuating my pear-shape tendency?

I LOVE your bonus sweater -- so fresh and springlike. Keep and wear the heck out of it!

As for the others:

1. Purple jacket is beautiful. I love the colour. It does seem a bit snug when buttoned but not a deal breaker if you have done the sit test and don't fit it is too tight in the arms and shoulders when you stretch.

2. Foxcroft shirt is lovely. The collar is fine -- if it bothers you to wear it out when in a jacket, maybe you can tuck it under or wear it all the way buttoned (depending on your neck length, etc.)

3. I like the olive high/low jacket, too, although it would be good to see it styled...somehow it isn't working for me, quite, in that combination -- maybe the 3 colours, strong contrast. But it is difficult to tell without face and shoes, etc. Be wary of that pull, however. If you love and want to keep, look for a perfect version.

4. Dotty jacket is super fun! Looks good to me, though you might want to shorten the sleeves a touch.

I am not a fan of the skirt, sorry. (Ducking). But do take with a grain of salt. As a beach cover up type of thing it would be fine in my book, but I have a bit of a poison eye for this type of skirt.

KILLER purple jacket! Precisely what Suz said. Do the sit down test plus move your arms around. Leave UN-buttoned. Can you drive wearing the jacket?

Super-duper Foxcroft shirt. Keep! Leave the collar out.

Adorable hi-low jacket! It's a 10, but I cannot speak to its quality as I have not seen it irl.

It's a question of whether the skirt is in line with your current style persona. Something to ponder.

I just want to say that I love the purple and dotty jackets with your citron top. the color is fun and unexpected.

The polka dot looks like the best fit to me. Shirt fits lovely too, IMO. As does the skirt, but I for one would be in danger of styling it little girl or frumpy.
