K/R Is this enough of an improvement to keep?

I just picked up this H&M jean jacket to replace my not so cheeky Old Navy one but I am unsure if it's a big enough improvement to warrant the purchase. They didn't have my normal size so I went up a size, not any too big, at least I don't think so. What do you think?

1-2 New H&M jacket
3-4 Old-Old Navy jacket
5 H&M with another outfit

I like the H&M one better.

They're very similar, but I like how the H&M one seems to taper in more at the bottom.

hm is a vast improvement over the other jacket. the proportions work so much better and you have a waist!

Keep the H&M - proportions are better and the fading looks nice. Looks like the sleeves scrunch better, too.

Another vote to keep the H&H jacket - how does it look buttoned? Are the shoulders fitting right where your shoulders start or is it bigger than yours? I like how it gives more waist definition. The ON one is much boxier. I'm not sure I"m the best judge as I have such a hard time fitting jackets myself. I usually end up with slightly larger than I think I should but I don't like to feel too constricted either.

I prefer H&M, I also like the fit - is this from LOGG collection, the one Ingunn bought recently? I checked my store for it too, they did not have my size, but it looked like great jacket and was stretchy enough to be comfortable, still structured to do the job a good denim jacket should do.

Texstyle-Yes, jackets are tough to fit, especially when my shoulders resemble a linebacker, but this actually feels pretty good and not too restricting. I could button the jacket, but probably never would.

Ornella-Yes, it's the LOGG (thanks Suz), and for jean jackets it is quite comfortable. I hope your store will get more in. I've been looking for quite a long while and it's tricky for someone not so petite, like me.

Yay - we are denim jacket twins! You are keeping the H&M one, right? It's a lot more flattering on than your old one. I think the size looks just fine, but maybe you should try and find one in your regular size just to compare? I find they run large. So glad this one works for you, too!

H&M is great! My H&M never has the LOGG stuff -- I always go and look but come away disappointed!

Love the fit of the H&M jacket! Yes, they are both jean jackets, but I think there's a significant enough improvement to keep the H&M one.

The H & M one seems more tailored and nips in at the waist. I don't dislike the ON one, I like the dark wash but the new one seems a bit more structured. I like the way you styled the outfits with the jacket. You look great!

H&M by a mile! Love the curves it has and lets you have! Don't know about sizing down - things aren't as fitted as two years ago, and there's nothing worse than a straight jacket of a jacket.

H&M wins. It has more shape to it. You look fantastic. The Old Navy one looks fine (in isolation) but it doesn't hold a candle to the fit on the H&M jacket. I also really like how you've styled the jackets. (Marking as a favorite -- I hope you don't mind if I borrow/copy these looks)

ok, I think it's settled. Keeping this one. Thanks for all your wise observations and input. I hate to think about my fashion life without you guys!

Ingunn-I keep hoping to get around to try the smaller size, but probably not likely by the "must return date" so I might be stuck with this one, which feels pretty good. Could be smaller in the waist but then it probably would feel a little snug in the shoulders. Thanks for your help and inspiration to try H&M and the LOGG.

Claire and Day Vies-Thanks for the nice compliments-smiling inside. I think this new jacket will end up being worn much more than the old ON one, as I always felt it was too long and boxy.
