K/R "Investment" Boots - YouLookFab Forum

Okay, so clothing can't really be an investment, but expensive boots that really need to last me multiple years.

I have had these ont he brain since I cam across them. Ugg leather sheepskin lined boots. The absolute perfect boots to get me in dresses and skirts in the freezing cold.

The are amazingly comfortable, almost like wearing slippers. They are warm, just like my slippers. The red skirt is identical to the black one in length. Just a different color!

However, I worry they are too short. They 4-6 inches below my knee, much shorter than my normal black boots. I can't tell if I am being TOO picky, or if they should go back.

Honest opinions. If they are too short, I would ratehr keep looking than settle. (Yes, I look kinda frumpy in pic 31. Auditors first day on sight, and they kept me busy)

Last pic is for comparison with my only other tall pair of boots.

Each person may have a different "sweet spot."

Sometimes, you might wear toned hose/ tights so the gap would not be obvious (if you are not liking it). So that's another issue to consider.

I'll be curious to hear what others say as well! But I think if they are super comfortable, adjustable (as they appear to be from the buckles), fit your calves this well, and so on -- these are all huge pluses!

You are not being too picky. My first thought, before I read your post was that they were too short. The taller ones in pic 4 are fab!! Definitely keep looking.

I'm not loving them with skirts, but they'd be great with pants tucked in. I think a little taller with the skirt, but as Suz said it depends on your sweet spot. Would you wear black tights? if so these would work for me with the skirt.

The height of the shaft doesn't bother me, since it's nice to see a little leg. How do you feel about the overall style of the boot for you? The shape of the toe, the buckle details, etc. Your style is evolving and these boots will be with you for several years. I'm boot handicapped, living in a warm climate--but maybe the others can help.

These look fine, I think if you feel self-conscious about the height wear then with something else. Confidence is an excellent accessory.

They are the same height as my other boots. I just wonder if they look too rugged for my style. I prefer streamlined and ladylike on me. RATE looks good on others, but not me so much.

I like them. Particularly if you'll be wear them with black tights I don't think the height is a problem. And I agree with Rae that I like that they clear your hemline.

I think they are a lovely looking pair of boots. Length is cool and would look really good with knee length skirt and nude hose:)

I think the question here is whether you think you'll mostly be wearing them with skirts or with pants tucked in. With skirts, especially knee length or longer ones, I like this height since I personally prefer to see some leg shape between boots and skirt. With pants or with short skirts, I like my boots to be very tall, pretty much as tall as is still comfortable.
