So Net-a-porter at one point had this brand of boots which appealed to my boho side

But fit advice said this brand doesn't work for high arches.
At Nordstrom I found these on sale

They have a partial inside zipper and are pretty comfortable. They go up to about to knee cap on me, not quite OTK.
But after bringing them home, I'm questioning them. Thoughts?

For your cooler Seattle climate, those will work a good chunk of the year. I can see you styling them well.

Will the over the knee bother you? How comfortable s pretty comfortable? Mould they be all day boots or sitting boots?

i like the taller height more than the calf height cobras. this way you can see lots of the pattern of the fabric. your weather can always use more boots.

how do your arches feel walking around the apartment?

Things to ask yourself:

1) can you readily style them with your existing wardrobe?

2) do they reflect a committed style persona/direction for you or are they novelty/whim?

Based on how you answer these questions might bring you closer to deciding k / r.

If anyone can rock these, it's you. But I think you can make most things work.

Piggybacking on what Denise said, it probably comes down to whether your style will be going more full-tilt boho in the near future.

Denise is a wise woman. I think I would also be asking those questions. These don't exactly read boho to me. There seems to be a cowboy element, I'm not sure. BUT if anyone can work them you can. I would really like to see how and what you would wear them with:)

What question are you asking yourself about these boots AG?
I like them. They look positive and weekend-happy to me. If they are comfy, they could be the kind of magic boot that you throw on with any old clothes when you are in a hurry, which at once dress up the outfit, even if it is an old pair of jeans or cutoffs and a faded shirt --like instant make-up for your legs.
From what I could see online, just about every colour and type of clothing goes with these boots, as long as it's casual:

I quite like them (in fact, i like these better than the first ones you posted), but these are the kind of thing I like best with a very simple outfit -- jeans and a white tee sort of thing. I'd be curious to see what looks you'd come up with incorporating these. Have you tried styling them yet?

I could see them with my distressed skinnies and big cream sweater.
Lyrebirdgully's links gives me other ideas too.

ETA I think I'm leaning towards returning them. I think my style is in flux, AGAIN. Right now I can't see where I'm going.

I like these better than the inspiration ones, too. But what do you question? I like Denise's questions for analysis. Were you going somewhere in particular with these boots?

That's the thing I don't know where I'm going. It was a total impulse purchase because I wanted to buy something new/cool/pretty to cheer myself up. I went overboard on shopping yesterday with these and other things. I think I need to SYC to regain focus and clarity.
