K/R, if K which size? Gap sweater

Hi all,
This sweater from the Gap arrived today. I ordered it in regular and tall, just to see.

Here it is in a variety of ways. It's too long to semi-tuck, which is okay. I'm more likely to wear it with pants, so if you think one is better with the skirt and the other with pants, pants win.

So, what do you think? Keep? Shorter or longer? Try the smaller size?

I prefer the regular because the sleeve length looks more intentional. In the tall, the sleeves just look like they're a little short.

I agree with Liz A. about the sleeve length.

I prefer the regular length. Perhaps a smaller size but I'm not quite sure how it's supposed to fit. Right now, I think it looks loose, easy, and good with all of your bottoms in both lengths, with the regular looking best.

May I ask, what is your height?

fastkat, I'm 5'6".

Funny, I thougth the regular looked a bit sloppy. For some reason the tall seemed to hang better, the extra fabric perhaps. And I hadn't even noticed the sleeve length!! I think I might see if our local store has the smaller size.

Thanks Elizabeth P. I was asking because I always like to meet fellow tall people so I can compare notes on what garments work for them as far as length goes. I am not super tall -- 5'9" -- but still have some challenges when it comes to fit.

I like the one on the right. Is that the tall? I like it better with the pants although the one on the left looks better with the skirts.

Frankly I don't think either size works. The neck on the Tall looks off. The regular just doesn't seem special. I think the sleeves need to be sculpted to look modern.

Thanks everyone. I didn't have a lot of time to look at this earlier, I took these photos then had to deal with supper and kids activities. Now that I look at the pics, I'm not loving it. Will look again with fresh eyes tomorrow, but it's looking more returnish to me at the moment.

Interesting comment about the sleeves Anna. I hadn't thought of that, but I see what you mean.

You are looking terrific these days. I love the windowpane check trousers!

I'm not wild on either sweater, actually. I love the fluid fit in the body, but I think the neckline is a bit off and sleeves seem both a bit big and short. The color is wonderful!

I prefer the regular but it is not 10 in my eyes. Something is off in the fit bbut I cannot pinpoint what...sorry!:-(

Thanks Beth Ann and Sveta. And don't aplogize! That's why I posted... I truly did want feedback. And I'm coming to the same conclusion. I really want a white sweater with a fluid fit, and was attracted to the texture on this, but I don't think it's my 10. I may try the smaller size. I may not.
