Well, I like it a lot and I think the red and white color palette is really flattering on you.

Ha, a Super Fab old lady, maybe. But then again I am fond of "grandma's couch" florals so maybe you should take my opinion with a grain of salt. =P

Thanks, Diana. Tried to explain that this is a "tribal" type print and very popular right now. He just replied "we'll I don't know anything about what's popular I just know what I like!" And apparently what he doesn't like!

I like this one too, with the heeled sandal. Great colors on you and I don't see "old lady" in a tribal print, sorry hubs.

Phew! Thanks Claire...I can keep both if they deserve a spot in my closet....need a casual dress for rehearsal dinner and also for other informal gatherings the week of the wedding. DH likes the watercolor dress for rehearsal but I prefer the maxi, might have to compromise a little!

Actually you look wonderful in this I'll just presume your DH isn't up on the latest trends If you were wondering about sandals, I think the thicker strap sandal looks more modern and in keeping with the tribal print!

I think this might be a case where you need to ignore the DH comment
I love it on you. I do not see frumpy in fit or colour. Very on trend.
My vote is keep.

My DH would hate this dress for the length. Maybe his mother or grandmother wore maxi dresses back when women didn't wear pants.

Yes waking up in the middle of the night is the order of the day...on top of the wedding stress we decided to list out home because the market is on an upswing... Lots of showings require constant cleaning....I know, we must be nuts!

This is very flattering on you -- and I don't normally care for maxis, much less tribal prints! I vote YES. I can see why your DH prefers the watercolor dress: The print to my eye is very feminine plus it shows off your fab legs. Glad you can keep both.

I always appreciate my DH's opinions but if I wore everything he liked my wardrobe would be quite different from what it is now. He is a bit more conservative and less on trend in taste so the more print/color/on trend the item is, the more I over rule his opinion. (And I like the dress, fun print!)

I really like it! The colors are gorgeous on you. And it will be something you can just forget about after you put it on, nothing to fuss with and it pretty much accessorizes itself.

Now how much your DH's opinion matters in how much you like itj, only you can answer

Ah, I've run into this problem as well. I usually listen to DH if it's an item I will mostly wear around him, but not always. You have great instincts, the dress looks fab, and you know better regarding the "old lady" print.

Thanks, Rae! I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that occasionally overrules DH in regards to fashion! At first I thought that I should just respect his opinion, but what about mine? It's not that easy to find dresses that I like, Period!

Wear it well and be happy! I think this has a little more "structure" in the fabric and silhouette than a lot of maxis, which I like. The warm tones in the print are appealing, too. There'll be another day to dress for DH!
