K/R -- I just HAD to have these Edmundo Castillo booties!

I had been stalking them since October. They finally became affordable at $410, which is what I paid (SRP = $1095). Just after I ordered them, days before receiving, they went down to $307.50.

These need to work with my wardrobe staple of skinny jeans. I know they will look cute with skirts, but I rarely wear them. I have taken pictures at various pants lengths -- do they work and which length do you like best?

#1 -- stock photo
#2/3 -- Jeans worn full-length, over the booties.
#4 -- Rolled a few inches
#5 -- Rolled to top of booties
#6 -- Tucked inside booties

The mid-shaft height is sort of tricky, I am more used to ankle booties. I was thinking of these in mink (taupe sold out in my size) as an alternative:

I like them a LOT, and I like the pants at their longest length best.

And the outfit is fantastic - I love the sleeves on the tunic and I'm crazy about the simple, oversized circle pendant necklace. Where did you get that piece?

Denise, I like 2/3 best--but I don't know how you feel about hiding your boots under your trousers. I like the shape of these and how they look on your feet, but if I were going to invest this kind of money in booties, I wouldn't choose suede, for reasons of practicality. But I'm sure you've already thought about that.

Looks like I'm in the minority so far, but I like the boots fully exposed, with jeans rolled or tucked (5-6). Love the pointy toe, the heels, everything really. Great find!

I like them! I think they look best with the jeans all the way down. Will you be happy with how much of the zipper gets to be shown off under jeans?

I actually like them both ways - with a little hint of the zipper peaking out and full zipper exposed. If they are comfy too then I'd say keep.

I think they look best rolled a few inches up. The pants all the way down is OK, but I prefer to see more of the boot. They are gorgeous! Have you asked for a price adjustment? Are you considering the alternate pair? I love the color (and it would look great with the royal blue jeans) but would it be as versatile for you as black?

Wow--totally fab outfit! I like the boots each way. I love the lines of the boots and the details--the shape of the toe piece, and the exposed zipper--that give their classic chicness a bit of edge.

Thank you for your opinions. I agree they are more leg-lengthening with full length pants but I also like to show off the details with a shorter hem. The cropped pants trend is soooo hard to pull off, I know.

I'm honored to be style twins Inge! Kappy -- YES! these were the boots I was looking for a cheaper version of a while back. Patience pays off, doesn't it.

I contacted Shopbop and they were willing to refund some of the money to match the newly listed price of $307.50. However, they were not willing to match MyHabit.com's price so I decided to return the boots to Shopbop. I have ordered two pairs now from MyHabit.com so I can waffle over this decision just a little longer. ; ) The difference between Shopbop's price and MyHabit's price was $50.50, so I felt returning was worth it.

I'm not surprised that they wouldn't price match MyHabit - most stores won't match the flash sale sites. But ShopBob does free returns so whoo hoo! Beware - MyHabit is seriously dangerous for at risk shopoholics! lol. I picked up the red, side zip ankle boots at the MyHabit sale - and talked myself out of the blue version of the boots you bought.
