I really can’t tell the difference between the two sizes. Maybe it shows more in profile? The smaller of the two sizes I ordered of *your* vest arrived today. I love it! But I won’t make my final decision until the larger size arrives.
I like it a lot! Especially with the white shirt. I much prefer the smaller one on you. It still has the slouchy vibe at the shoulder, and lies more smoothly through the waist area.
It will be interesting to see the similar one with black bands.
I like the larger size better, especially with the long sleeve top. Love it with the jacket. Looks like fun for now. I tend to tire of pieces like this—fun for a couple of years then I want to move on.
I prefer the smaller size (slightly shorter, which I thinks work well). I have somewhat of a poison eye for a light-colored band like this, especially when you will most likely wear it with darker bottoms, but I think it looks good!
There’s an interesting varsity - type oversized vest in Simons.ca ( I think ) in black with an ivory stripe at the deep v neck . I think I’ll order it - they have it styled with a loose short sleeved tshirt which is more my style . I’ve been wearing a plain black rayon knit oversized vest all summer just as is and love it so much I’m duplicating it in cream to wear with a white tshirt .
I like it best layered in #7, and with the white undershirt. The thing that is throwing it off (for me) is the slouchy fit on the waist and the light colour across the waist line. I noticed that the model has her vest semi tucked to break that horizonal line. This is tempered by the white undershirt, and then also by wearing a topper, which are the looks I find most flattering.
I am with JenniNZ and think this is not as great as what you usually wear - but that is because you set the bar at a very high level!
I love vests and I love boxy and oversized so obviously I love this. I agree it's not super flattering but I also don't think it is UN-flattering and when you pair it with your fabulous jacket it is a great look and totally you. I am really tempted to try one of the Amazon ones.
To paraphrase Betty Halbreich, you never get more excited about an item, than the first time you try it on. If you're not thrilled by it right now, I vote send it back. It only deserves a place in your beautiful, curated wardrobe if you love it
Also, I vote on the smaller size, going by the fit on the shoulders, which looks closer to the photo of the model.
Still loving this on you, still having a slight preference for the smaller size. I don’t care for it as much with the black long sleeved blouse - the cuffs kinda clash with the punk/preppy vibe to my eye.
I have the same vest on order and was eager to read about your experience with it. I especially love your outfit with the vest under your black jacket. I thought it was overall great on you until you mentioned the possibility of a black band at the bottom, instead of white.

Love it on you. I am no help on size so I think it will come down your personal preference. I'm eager to see a head-to-head matchup with the other vest.
