K/R Green Plaid Blazer

I've been searching for blazers and I thought this green plaid one looked fun. Now that it's arrived, I'm not sure if it's "the one." The sleeves are a little long, but I like that.

What say you? Too big even for a BF look? Too ick? Pics are over exposed on purpose.

I really like it. Looks that it fits well in the shoulders, and that is what most of the structure comes from. Sleeves can eb easily altered, altough I prefer them on the longer side.

The fit looks good, but I'm not sure about the fun factor... I flipped through some of your WIWs and you have some great plaid looks that have a cool punky vibe to them. Compared to http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-and-about, I think this jacket looks kind of staid and traditional.

It looks like it fits pretty well. I agree that the sleeves are a touch long, but that's an easy-peasy fix. I can see fun in it as well.

Lightbulb moment! Una, I think that's where I originally liked the plaid blazer look - a post by you quite a while ago.
Emily, thanks for your honesty. I didn't really style the blazer here, I just threw on some jeans. I was thinking of styling with my skinnies and a funky pair of boots (lace up boots perhaps?) or even with my VC black tube skirt.
Tanya and K, the fit is slightly loose, like a BF fit. This is a size M, The size S was sold out.
I hear you on the sugar eye, Suz, I have one too - that's why I just had to post a K/R!

I am conflicted on this. I am not a fan of this plaid but can put that aside. I think I am wanting to see the jacket a little longer, or perhaps you could layer a longer top underneath? I think it would work nicely over a skirt..hmmm a flared skirt! Reflecting further I think styling will make the difference:)

I am a total sucker for plaid, so I am surely biased... but I really do like this on you. The fit looks good. OK, sleeves are a tad long, but that is an easy fix. How would it play with the rest of your wardrobe? I look forward to seeing it styled in the ways you had mentioned.

I love blue and green tartan and I am insanely jealous that you have this jacket (although I have not seen a similar one in my online and brick and mortar shopping trips). I do think it's a little big in the shoulders otherwise it fits fine -- it's not terribly noticeable. I think I read in your chambray shirt post that the tummy puts you in a larger size. I'll suggest the same thing here that I did there. If you wear your jackets open most of the time buy the smaller size. If you prefer closed jackets this will do just fine. (Angie supports this too).
I will say I think the jacket is the wrong cut for a BF look. It should be longer and end at the thigh.

I love Black Watch - I have a down jacket in Black Watch, and a shoulder bag in Black Watch too. I got a Pendleton catalog in the mail the other day and they have several Blsck Watch items. I'm considering the pants, but they also have a jacket:
