Just had to give these a try... I'm an absolute sucker for pretty much anything navy, after all. I wasn't at all convinced in the store, but brought them home to see how they'd go with my tops and shoes.
My main hesitation is the length. In our weather, this is a really difficult length to deal with... no way will I be going bare legged in velvet pant season. But I could wear nude hose, boots, and carry shoes. I tried it here with a number of different pairs of shoes that I might consider wearing... and also with some chunkier boots (inspired by Greyscale). Also shown with a bunch of different tops that I thought might work. I'll reserve my opinions until I hear some of yours. I have a personal paranoia when it comes to leggings, but these did feel a bit more pant like. Just not sure they LOOK a bit more pant like
They ARE very comfortable. They seriously grew on me while I was playing outfit lab with them. And no, I don't need them, but they are different, and would make a fun addition to my holiday clothes. If I can figure out the shoe thing.
So, your thoughts? Do you like them on me? And if so, which tops and shoes do you prefer? #7 is a lightweight navy slightly sparkly sweater... I quite liked this combo so am going to show it for proportions, even though it's out of focus. I'd be happy to have three good ways to wear them.
Thanks!!
ETA: Added a few more possibilities, based on feedback. 11, 12 are my Joie sweater, to work with the long, tunic, asymmetry, and column of navy that people liked. Is it too casual? And two different sets of booties... I quite like #12 overall. #13 is my red patent wedges, which see very little use as I can't help but think of them as party shoes... but I think they might work here.
More thoughts? Hopefully somebody is seeing these additions!
