ETA more pics. K/R fun all weather coat

I've been looking for a fun rain/all weather coat for a couple of seasons & really thought this was the one. It is a techno fabric so great for travel & is a real citrus - between green & yellow.. The last photo is with a jacket & knit so this is the bulkiest it would get.
I loved it till I saw the last photo - does it make me look like big bird?
Okay one more try in #4 & #5 I've tied up the cords & can cut them off if need be, & l've also loosened the waist & bottom.

No bird connotations here! If you worry about that, you could try to make it flare a bit more at the bottom when you zip it? Gorgeous color and very stylish to my eye!

I agree that it looks a bit more stylish unzipped rather than zipped up, but that's kind of the way with raincoats, isn't it? You do not look like big bird. I am a bit distracted by the dangly cords, especially at the bottom hem. It makes it look a bit more like gear to my eye.

I love the colour and it looks great undone. But I am not in love with those dangling cords. Is there any way to mitigate the look of those? Or perhaps you don't mind them, in which case ignore me. I have a poison eye for that kind of detail.

The coat is a very cute color. It is odd that it looks so fitted in the pic and in reality is not. I'm thinking that although you may not be into ultra-structured clothing, this one seems a bit bagged out. Perhaps keep looking?

I love the look of it in the first picture, but I'm not sure about it on you, the way you wear it. Is it possible to loosen the cords at the bottom hem a bit? And what are the dangling cords made of? If they are these typical raincoat cords I'd just adjust them the way you want and then cut a bit off so that they are not too long. I've done that a few times!

I agree the cords are distracting but overall I like the jacket. And while I would like to see a picture of it done up with your head included (because I think your head probably balances everything out), overall I think the proportions are working for you - no big bird! It is however a bright jacket and you have to feel comfortable with it.
I love the colour personally but yellow being the traditional colour for slickers, it may contribute to a gearish effect (if you are looking for something high style). It's hard to tell from pics whether this colour reads stylish citron or geary yellow.
Where is the coat from? I kinda want it

If you can do something about the dangling cords, I'd say this anorak is an 8. Nice, but not a 10.

I think you bought it a size or two too big. Perhaps a size down would work better. You have too much material. Otherwise, I see definite potential.

If you are thinking layering room, I still think a size down will still give you that room. As a matter of fact, my daughter thinks that raincoats and anoraks do not need to be too oversized, because technically speaking, if you need that many layers to keep warm with a trench, it is time to grab that winter coat. I think she is right!

I would not gather the bottom hem either, unruching the bottom would definitely make the cords way shorter. Your instinct is telling you to gather the hem because the anorak is simply too big,

OMG, I LOVE the style! And the color of course - this is one of my signature colors. So jealous that it is not a US brand. I also wondered about trying the size down, though.

I much prefer it without the dangling cords. The collar is quite terrific for you. It still seems on the loose side, but if you want to layer that is a factor to consider.
