K/R: Free People top

Gigi

I bought this tank at Free People, but the smallest size is too long on me and too wide in the shoulders. I'm wondering if it could still work as an oversized fit, but I'm not sure if I would need to get the next size up to make it look more intentional. Does the fit just look sloppy?

I like it too Gigi - it is a relaxed fit- not tailored, do very casual. It looks good with the jeans and might work with shorts too.

But you need to be happy with it- if you find the fit off then do return.

So great to see you!! And you look beautiful in this top. I really like it for you. I think it works great this way, semi-tucked. Relaxed, very casual, as Sal says. The appliqué really suits you. Also, if the length truly bothers you after a while you can get it shortened a bit if you like.

Thank you, all! I'm always paranoid about how stuff fits in the shoulders (I have narrow shoulders), so all I see when I look at the pic is that the shoulders are too wide on the tank. But I've been wanting to add more drapey pieces to my wardrobe, and this might be a good time to experiment.

Cat, I'll have to experiment with wearing it untucked. It hits at a somewhat unflattering length (almost to the crotch), which doesn't do much for my proportions! But I also can tie it at my hip, on the side, which is another way I can wear it.

Keep it! I like how it looks on you. It's a nice top for you. I have narrow shoulders too, and I know exactly what you mean when you say you have to double check the fit.
