Broken-in straight khakis

I had a coupon so I thought I'd try it. I love cobalt so reached for those. I've been wanting to do a faux tuck but can't find pants where the crotch doesn't have a prominent V shape, which I find unflattering for myself. These do not fit the faux tuck requirement, but they are light weight which is good for my climate. I also like the way the leg stays up even with my chicken bone legs. : P

I'm still getting used to the slouchy shape, so I didn't size up. You can see the butt slouch better in the side view of photo 2.

Questions:
Do these look slouchy enough?

Does it look fine with a top that covers the crotch?

What do we think of the sandals in photo2? We're going to be doing a lot of sight seeing during the summer and these Naturalizer sandals seem comfy.

I like them! They don't look particularly slouchy or baggy to me - more like regular khakis when unrolled, but they are super cute and a bit edgy scrunched. If you are hesitant about the baggy thing, you could keep these as a 2-in-1 pant that can convert from more conservative to more daring.

They look great on you. I like the easy fit, I have jeans with this fit and love it. Have you tried rolling them? You could probably go up 1 even 2 sizes if you wanted a truly slouchy fit. The shoes look perfect for what they are intended -- sight seeing in hot weather. The footbed looks supportive and they look cool.

This is what I plan on wearing a lot in the summer - these khakis scrunched up. I think they look cute with the sandals!

I wouldn't call these slouchy, more straight legged or relaxed versus a skinny. If you wanted slouchy, I think you would need to size up one to two sizes.

That said, these look nice both scrunched and straight, and I love the color!

I am sorry to differ! I love the colour, and the colour combination with your footwear, but am really not sure about this cut. It really seems not slouchy enough, just like regular khakis that would be a tad too big, making it look like a bad fit... especially with the untucked shirt... sorry! (Now I go and hide).

I'm on the fence on these. The color looks great on you and they seem to fit. I bought these in the olive and liked them well enough - in my reg. size they were very slouchy. But then they stretch out quite a bit and become a bit too baggy for me. I ordered the cobalt in a smaller size but they just didn't seem "right" to me in fit.

I'm not sold on this look yet so consider that when I say I'm not loving this. I do agree you need to roll them and scrunch, but with the untucked shirt it does look more like ill fitting pants than intentionally fashiony slouchy.

I like the Leith pants better. I don't think these are slouchy enough. Did you try a sized up Skinny Mini? I think they look more deliberate--these kind of look like regular khakis to me.

The pants aren't slouchy. They are baggy - and I think they look sensational all scrunched! I like this size on you, AJ.

I like them scrunched, but less so unscrunched, if you know what I am saying. I think scrunched, they could be super useful for your climate, lifestyle, and activities!

Yes, these seemed a bit dowdy when worn with the full leg. However, I did think it looked fun when scrunched. I'm going to play around with some summer scrunched looks and post some pics soon.
