K/R: Eileen Fisher check scarf

I've been looking for a nice, cozy warm scarf. I wanted something neutral with a pattern. This one is charcoal with a very light brown (maybe taupe) buffalo check pattern.

Thoughts? I'm leaning towards keeping it. I've ordered/returned a few other scarves and this one seems to fit the bill. It is, however, bigger than I am used to, and I am wondering if there is too much bulk.

It's a lovely scarf and isn't too bulky at all.

Are you going to wear it indoors as an accent or are you going to wear it for warmth with your coat? When I wear scarves for an accent, I can't handle too much bulk -- it gets in the way of what I'm doing. I have a much higher tolerance for bulk when I'm wearing a scarf outdoors with a coat.

However, there are ways you can tie the scarf to give you a bit more space around your face and chin and lessen the feeling of bulk if you're wearing it as part of your outfit.

Great scarf! If it were me wearing it, I'd pull it down a bit off of my face and let it sit further inside the collar of my coat.

I think I'd like the option to wear indoors and out. I'm trying to keep my overall numbers minimal until I have a better sense of what I like/what works for me, so this would be my only scarf until I feel ready to search for number two.

I am accustomed to bulk elsewhere because I layer often, although my past scarves have been narrower.

I've kept the scarf on while I've been on the computer and in the kitchen, and it hasn't bothered me, so the bulk doesn't seem like a practical issue for me, but I am wondering if it looks too bulky to others.

I love it! Scarves that size are having their moment; later it can probably be tied smaller. I say keep!
