K/R Eileen Fisher Chainmail Mesh Tank

Tell me how I can get a lot of wear out of this tank. For me, it was very pricey (on sale about $112). If I can wear it a lot I'll keep it, because I feel great wearing it. I'm not used to dressing carefully and putting things together. I've been lazy about it because I've worked from home for the past 15 years. Good thing I found YLF and hopefully I'm a quick learn

I played with it a bit...
1. taupe cami underneath, NYDJ white ankle jeans (bought them a week before I found out ankle pants are bad, oh well), Ecco Bouillon sandals.
2. old jean jacket, Karen Kane pants, Frye Melissa boots
3. same as #2, but replaced jacket with Converse Zariah Shawl Top (Target, still has tags on, lol)

What I don't want is for this to be summer only, does it look too summery for colder months?

does not look too summery to me! I love the slight shimmer. Looks very nice with the boots & jacket, good casual vibe to counter the tank dressiness

I really, really like this top, and you've styled it beautifully! The second and third photos look pretty seasonless to my eye. I get where you're coming from, with the price, but I think this is a piece you can get a lot of use out of.

It does not look too summery when you add a jacket or cardigan. I like all the ways you have styled it, It looks wonderful with white and your metallic sandals.
Just roll those ankle lengths up a little and see what you think.

And that is a fab tank. I agree with Joy - it does not look too summer worn with a topper. I like all the ways you have styled it. It looks superb with white!

Do you wear button downs or silk button downs? If you do, it might be possible to layer this over one. I have done that with a light grey sparkle tank in winter and it worked out pretty well.

Love all three outfit pairings. EF pieces tend to be very well made and timelessin style. So, while an investment on the front end, you will have it for years.

I think this is a winner, especially in these stylings.

For colder weather, I especially like the idea of pairing it with tweed, wool, silk or leather.

Love it! I don't think it's summer only at all. In addition to the ways you showed us, I could see it:

with dressy pants as a sparkly holiday outfit
as a shell with a pencil skirt and blazer
feminizing casual/distressed/boyfriend jeans and a moto
with a slim maxi or midi skirt and ankle boots for winter

I'm sure there are many more possibilities, too. Think of it as a white blouse alternative.

I think it looks great! It's not WARM, but it's not summery-only--for example, looks fab the way you showed it with denim and boots.

For me it would be weekend wear only, so for these items, I just have to keep reviewing my casual/smart casual/night out capsule(s) and decide how many items/outfits I need there, since I'm trying to put the right % of resources in the right areas. But in terms of wearability and versatility, it's a great layering piece, the neutral sparkle can skew light or dark, warm colors or cool, show a lot or a little of it depending on topper, and it's subtle enough that it can be for some daytiime look and not just evening, so I imagine you could wear it lots of times & places.

I love your style!
Well, especially since I have that same top! I bought mine to go under a specific jacket, and now that it's hot out I haven't experimented with it yet with other things, but I think it will be versatile. I don't think it's necessarily summery at all- especially since you have to wear another layer under it. I'll probably never wear mine by itself, since it's a little bare for me, but under various jackets.
You look great in it, though, as a tank!

I'm also taking notes from Inge's links and Rae's great styling ideas.
