K/R DVF Sweater

Hi all,

I found this DVF sweater at the Rack (before I started my no-shop August) at an amazing deal! 100% cashmere and fun colors. But, I'm not sure on the fit -- too short, too tight at the waist? I'm wondering if this style is supposed to look more fluid and drapey, thus too small on me. I'm wondering if I'm being swayed by the sale price...

Would love all thoughts… I am on the fence!

I am not loving it with trousers. I think that is because of the length. I wonder if it would look better with a skirt, but then, you have to ask if you will wear it with a skirt (or if you want to! Cashmere usually says cold weather).

Pull it up even more so you have some balloon effect over the welt. I am not sure for it with skinnies at this length but it should work with BF jeans or slouchy pants - and with skirts.

Love this sweater! I think shorter sweaters are surging. I'd just make sure you like it in 3 wearable combinations --- that's my litmus test.

Thanks, everyone. I'll try it on with some slouchier trousers and see how it looks. If it still feels too short, I'll return.

My sense is that the fit is too in- between--too short for classic tailored, not boxy enough for skirts, not oversized enough for a slouchy BF look. So it's not giving me the oh, what a fab sweater look. I agree, give the very critical eyeball test and don't settle. BTW, I have the same problem-/ if I find cashmere or merino sweaters on a good sale I I am drawn like a magnet to keep adding them even if not perfect instead of picking the one wardrobe- builder I need that may be higher priced. So I am really trying to focus on fit and proportion with the actual bottoms I want to wear it with. If I find a fab sweater that is expensive, I may still have to say, this is not yet at my price point, but at least I'm ahead by having not added 2 or 3 " meh" sweaters in the meantime. I am learning that over time, I will not have trouble finding new sweaters to love!

I'm so distracted by the great colours - I really love this sweater. But, if it were me, I'd prefer it much looser and fluid. I think as unfrumped says above, it's kind of an in-between fit. But, another but, at that price it sure is tempting to have as an easy sweater to pull on.....but we are supposed to settle for nothing less than great for ourselves, aren't we

I'd try it with jeans to see how it would look casually - and check the length and fit against a different backdrop. Hard to really tell against the black pants .
