I have been invited to a wedding for a co-worker. The wedding is in September so I have plenty of time to find something to wear. I found a few dresses on sale, though (in the $40-60 range) and figured I might as well try them now. I like several of these although the length is shorter than what I am normally comfortable with. This is a country/farm/garden type wedding so something simple that can be worn with wedges would probably be best (need to be able to walk on grass).

What do you think?

#4 and 5 are longer but actually look a bit frumpy to me so I think they are going back for sure. #3 is probably too dark for a wedding but I wonder if I could wear it with tights and boots for other occasions. #6 is the Nine West dress I currently own and could wear to this wedding.

I like your current Nine West dress! Out of the new ones, I like #4 best for the wedding. Also like #3 as a pretty day dress, but it is probably too dark for the wedding.

I rather liked the shape of 3 on you. Could you try it with lighter colored footwear? Metallics, maybe?

Love #3 the best, and think it's a keeper, although I'm not sure about it for the wedding. Not sure about the others. Perhaps you could shorten #4?

I also really like #3, and LOTS of people wear black dresses to weddings now, so I don't think it would be at all inappropriate.

Love #3. I wish it were a titch longer, too, but I think it works on you, and it is just impossible to get dress length these days, not getting better fast enough.
Overall, the higher and boat necks look better than the V's, and the fits are nicer for your shape.

I like 1 and 3 both a lot. 5 looks a bit too big to me, and 6 is also great.

Are these the shoes you'd be likely to wear? Because if they are, the short ones aren't too short. I hope it's not weird to say that you have nice legs!

I love the neckline/look of 4 (I don't see frump!)-- to my eye it is a classic shape and nice pattern, plus it looks 'September' to me.

I love #3 on you -- gorgeous! I don't think it is too dark for a wedding, especially if it is an evening event. I like the idea of pairing this dress with metallic or lighter shoes/wedges for the event to give it a lighter feel. I also think #1 is fab.

I like three and the one you already own, six, the best on you. If I was wearing three to a wedding I'd probably have a pearl gray or cobalt topper and lighter metallic shoes, something to a make it springy/summery.

If it's country/farm garden is it possibly more casual? Might guests be wearing light flowy dresses and sandals? Then again, September so if it's cooler/autumn then..

Yes, I think this will be a casual wedding - based on the setting and the overall vibe I am getting. I haven't thought about the idea of light, flowy dresses - sounds appropriate for a country wedding. I haven't seen anything in that vein yet that I like but I will keep looking. Average temperatures for late September for our area range from 50 to 70F so I was thinking a slightly heavier, lined dress might be a good idea.

I like 1, 2 and 6, and 3 would be a great dress to have on hand for other occasions.
