K/R Citizen watch (+bonus pics of the shortened green midi)

The Citizen watch I ordered arrived today, I had luck that my neighbours were home and kept it for me. I can definitely say now that the face with the numbers looks way prettier IRL than the other one, here's the first thread http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....h-shopping.

What do you think? I think it looks very elegant, I really like it. But is it too big? It seems too big to me, but maybe that's just a matter of habit.

I'll definitely change the band if I keep it, the one belonging to it is too long (it's a men's watch) and the shiny black croco isn't my thing at all. If you vote keep, what kind of band could you see with the watch and my style?

Also two pics of the shortened green midi skirt. I really like it, I think it looks very flattering. I guess that's one skirt I'll wear my wide belts a lot with.

Love the new midi! It's perfect on you : ) I think the watch is lovely. IDK about the size--it does look oversized but in a good way. I think it's quite sleek.

Wow, love the green skirt. It looks great and yes, very flattering. Hard to tell on the watch. I think it would be easier for me if you showed the watch with an outfit, so it would be in perspective.

And call me plum crazy, but how about a burgundy or purple band, or maybe a deep forest green?

Thanks morethanbeige! I took a picture of me wearing the watch. I already changed in my comfy tee, but I think you can better see how it looks in relation to me. I guess a different band will still change the look a lot too.

Thanks Manidipa! And you're not crazy at all, I think a color would look lovely with it! It's only silver, white and black, so everything goes. I definitely want something that makes it more feminine. I'm not sure about deep forest green, but burgundy or purple could be great.

The skirt looks perfect now. And it's very flattering on you. I don;t think the watch is overpowering or too big. It's a little over sized, but I think it looks nice like that. i'm not sure about the watch band colors though.

I like the watch--- I think you need to go for rich and subtle but still feminine with the band-- so not too bright of pink! Something with a little depth or texture would be nice I think.

Thanks MaryK! I think those colors would look lovely, but they'd maybe be too bright for me? Maybe a softer version like e.g. cream would be better.

Thanks Celia! You're right about that retro feeling, I love it. I agree that the skirt will be versatile, I can see it becoming another wardrobe workhorse next to my black skirt.

The watch looks good. I don't think it looks too big at all. In fact, the one I just got is (at least relative to my arm) larger than yours and everyone seemed to like it. How about a deep, rich red band?

I like the two below for the texture and the "antique" look, but they're also too long. I'm still searching! A deep rich red sounds great too, with similar texture?

Nice watch! I don't think it's too big. I thinks you said before you don't like the idea, but I still think a cognac band would be so right on you. Love the skirt outfit! So flattering.

Love the watch - nice art deco feel to the numbers. Perfect oversized size.
Band options - I like that nude you posted but dark red, dark green or dark brown with a texture would be versatile with your wardrobe. Personally, I like the croc bands as they dress up an outfit yet look nice for casual wear.

And the skirt - hurray for alterations! Looks very nice.

Oh my Astrid - I love love love the watch! It's got such a lovely face - kind of vintage looking. I like the strong but simple design of it and the size is perfect. Slightly oversized is very stylish. I like the idea of a cream watch band or even dark red.

The skirt looks fab BTW!

Thanks Christieanne! Art deco feel is right. I don't feel like the croc bands would fit into my style anymore, I'm a bit over my reptile ballet flats too. I just think that suede or coarse grain leather would fit a bit better into my 'boho' side.

Thanks Shannon! That's the thing I was going for, I'm just so glad that the watch comes across that way. Most bands I have found are embossed or smooth, but I'm still looking.

The skirt looks beautiful, Astrid, and I love this watch for you. I vote 4 and 6 for band colours. I think a cream croc band would be lovely too.

Thanks Inge! I think I prefer #6 over #4. Red is a great neutral! They also have a cream croc band (also with silver hardware), the one below.

Maybe you're right. This one isn't that expensive, maybe I could order it and add another one in a color in the near future.

I LOVE oversized watches, and I think this one looks fab on you. Definitely not too big! (The one I'm wearing today is even larger than this one, hehe!) I think the last cream band and the first tan band would get my vote; I personally prefer lighter bands and face plates for spring/summer and darker in fall/winter. Something in a bright cheerful color is also a great idea!

The midi looks perfect! Do you have a wide cream belt? I bet a striped top with a wide cream belt and your brown oxfords would be lovely for summer.

I love the purples and also like the teal/blue and the more golden tan in the last lot quite a bit.
