As a rule, I don't "do" off-white... optic white is so much better on me, I try to stick to it. I did bend my rules last year however, with the BR windowpane pants... and have no regrets. To date, I've worn them with black or coloured tops, as optic white doesn't look good with them. So this year I thought that in order to get more wear out of the pants, I would look for a top that is slightly off-white, in the same colour tone as the pants. Lo and behold, I found this linen top at BR. I love the fit, love the feel, love the top. And it's not too creamy for me. The question is, how does it look with the pants? I can certainly wear this with other things, however those other things would also look good with my optic white tops, so I'm not going to keep it unless it works with these pants. My hesitation is the band of sheer fabric at the bottom. Is it too busy, with the window pane pattern showing through? Or do you think it works?

Thanks!!
