K/R BR knitted dress

Out of curiosity I sent away for this dress in teal. I'm on the fence about keeping it. The wrap top is flattering as is the cut generally, but the fabric makes it look a bit "tummy enhancing". Hmmm. Thoughts? It's also a little light weight for our climate, so may not be so practical.

I think it's gorgeous and flattering on you. It sounds like the fabric may feel a little light for you, though. Might be worth keeping an eye out for a similar dress in a more substantial fabric.

Lovely colour! And the dress fits you well. But how much do you think you'll wear it, considering that you say it might be too light weight? If you think you'll wear it I definitely vote keep!

I found the fabric quite substantial actually. Perhaps the striped versions are thicker than the solids?

It is cute and I like the color. I need to think about whether our Northern California weather has enough warmer days (probably between 70-80) to wear it. My life these days is pretty casual. But I'm getting tired of my jeans "uniform" which is why I ordered this dress!

I might be biased here because I bought the red one, but the dress feels substantial enough for me and I live in Canada.

The color and shape are very flattering on you.But you are the one that has to feel good about it.

About the weather here--it's currently in the 50s! (And I'm feeling very complainy about this weather...) We do get a lot of fog in our area in the summer although it sometimes burns off and gets warmer.

I told my neighbors/friends about this dress and they suggested wearing either white or black leggings underneath. I think that would make it more practical for our climate. Any idea what kind of leggings would work?

Yes, I can totally see me wearing black leggings with mine.
Do you mean what color or what kind of fabric? I would opt for darker ones and hadn't thought further than cotton ones but I can see faux leather work also.

It sounds worth styling a few ways, layered and not, to see if you think it can span some temp ranges so you'll wear it.

I think the dress looks fantastic and very flattering! This is on its way to me, also. I love a good wrap dress and this color is just so pretty...I'm hoping it will be long enough for me as dresses tend to be too short but I usually have good luck at BR!

I'm going to look into getting some black leggings to make this dress more practical...the fog burned off this afternoon and the sun came out a bit! So feeling more hopeful about a short sleeve dress

From what I can see it looks good - no tummy issues here.
The color is lovely - I hope you can keep it.

I like it, nice color and flattering cut. If you feel a bit conscious about your tummy you can wear spandex or something like that. Seam-free underwear also helps with these type of light fabric.

Sadly, the dress didn't work for me...way too body con for me to feel comfortable., but I'm much much older than you! I absolutely LOVED the color and am disappointed I couldn't add that shade to my wardrobe!
