K/R BR dark grey jeans

I'm looking for another pair of jeans since I wear them a lot these days. The other day I picked up lighter grey pair at Macy's but they felt tight on the calves. Today I got a different darker grey pair at BR--in the pics with the pink sweater. These ones are tight too....I don't have a good sense of how to figure out the right fit. Thoughts?

I like the darker pair. Have you tried more of a straight leg style? Those would fit a wee bit looser than a skinny. Fwiw, I think the darker pair looks great. I don't care for the fading on the light grey pair.

I agree with Kelly. I'm not a big fan of the fading on the lighter pair. I can't really see the fit details too well on the darker pair. Maybe you can try a straighter leg?

Light grey pair was already returned. I'm keeping the dark grey pair, and will be on the lookout for straight leg.

Chiming in that I like the darker pair, though that is probably because of the dark shoes giving you more of a streamlined look. I see that both pairs bunch at the knee, which is why I don't like the lighter pair as much, but it is also just more obvious on the lighter pair. I agree that trying a straight leg might eliminate the issue with them being too tight in the calves. I think the fitted style works on your fine, so it could also be that the fabric is too heavy and a stretchier pair would fit better throughout as long as you don't get too much stretch through the hips. I am keeping the dark grey jeans. They're not perfect, but I think that they are flattering, and they good enough for under $50. I will get a lot of use out of them.

I know that I could go to premium denim at $180-200 and perhaps find something that is that perfect fit, but it is not really in my budget right now.
