K/R Born Over-Knee Boots?

Hi- stepping out of shy-lurker mode to ask for opinions on these Born over the knee boots? Do I really need these boots Yay or Nay- they must be a 10! I already have black booties and some gorgeous grey-ish Frye boots (the other photos, maybe not great w/ the dress but I love 'em with other stuff) .. I think I need tights too, for this dress? So many questions! Ideas? Opinions? THANKS!!!!

I am still figuring boots out, so I'll let others express their opinions there. I did like the dress better with tights though.

Welcome! And yay for posting pics!

I can see the appeal of these boots. I am not an expert on over-the-knee ones so I will bump up and hope a few others weigh in. It seems to me they would never be an actual "need" - but they are pretty amazing looking boots and if you have lots of ways to wear them, well...

Do they also tuck into skinnies and would you want that?

The dress would feel too short for me personally without tights, but others might disagree and it very much depends on where and how you intend to wear it.

Hi there! So you are one of our silent ones, welcome! I would love to see these with skinny jeans or jeggings tucked into them. My daughter got a fabric pair over the summer and that's how she plans to wear them. If it ever cools down here!

I love the boots, not so much with the dress though. Are they comfy? I had a pair years ago & I found they used to slip down if I walked a lot in them.

I think they look a bit to loose to be a 10. I love the dress with the tights and booties. It looks much sleeker than the OTK's.

Wow, and I must say WOW! Love those boots on your gorgeous legs. They look like a perfect fit since with leggins you should still be able to get them on! I think you can wear them as shown without tights with this dress and also with when colder. No need to hide your skin if warm enough. I think you should make sure to try them over leggings though before you buy as you want them to be versatile

Enjoy those great gams and showing them off with short skirts!

I am also dying to see these with some skinnies or leggings tucked in. I think they'll be super cool that way, with your long legs. I personally have a bit of a poisoned eye for short skirts and OTK boots at the same time. Someone mentioned this in another thread - I guess Pretty Woman ruined the look for me, too.

Thanks ladies!! Rae you nailed it- I knew there was something sort of familiar that was bothering me about the look- it is pretty woman and I am not after that look!!
Thanks all for the encouragement to try with skinnies- I did but didn't post photos- I think the boots just are not a 10 even with skinnies- they are more cute than refined (on me) and although they are super warm and comfortable (my goals) I also need them to be perfect for the price, so I think I am returning I will keep working on looks for the dress, which I love.
