I LOVE that striped dress on you! And I like the brown boots best because they bookend your hair but also because I see the lighter pattern so often now. You always look wonderful!

Oh yes, kellygirl, the color and pattern was great--the side view was too clingy for my belly, which tends to stick out due to bloating. Ah well!

All these outfits are smashing. The dress is gorgeous on you! But I know that sometimes something just doesn't feel "right" because it's not really your typical style.

I like both booties, but I have a slight preference for the brown ones.

@Smittie: Thank you. I agree about the stripes!

@hgr: Thanks! Great styling ideas on the striped dress. I have not thought of making it a fall dress but the riding boots are a great idea. I’ve always liked the breton top with a scarf--so I think I’m going to give that a try! I think what I reach for will definitely help me decide regarding the boots. I’ve found that with other things--at least now that they both have YLF blessings, I’m not afraid to get one or both into rotation.

@Angie: Thanks! I actually went to Nordies at lunch today( (a much needed long lunch) and tried on the Elvinas. I was surprised at how they looked more cream than the booties I have. I prefer the higher contrast print for some reason which kind of baffles me actually. The shaft fit pretty closely but the height was not as flattering as my Fryes--so at least I know now.

@lynn: Thank you! The brown boots are definitely the crowd fave.

@Christina: Lol! It is clingy through the torso--another reason a topper will be good for me!

@Gigi: Thank you. I’ve been able to incorporate “unusual” pieces into my wardrobe so I’m hoping this dress will be the same. I never thought I’d wear light footwear but now I love the look. I guess time will tell.

Kelly, glad you could enjoy a long lunch.... and try boots
