Happy new year, Fabbers! Sorry to just drop in but I would appreciate your opinion on these boots. I've been struggling with footwear for white and cream bottoms--optic white is too much for my work environment and the tans tend to look too yellow. I thought these were a pretty good option. (You would think my slate Veronicas would work but they skew too grey--hard to wear with anything except blue and black bottoms.)
Thanks in advance! (Sorry--no makeup!) Alternatively,, if you have any footwear suggestions, I'll take those too!

I added a pic of my burnished slate Veronicas in the finds. The third photo shows the tan color I always *think* will work.

Nice boots! I feel like the boots definitely go with this outfit, but that you need some grey somewhere else.

Huh. I like them, but I feel like the two-tone/ombre is very distinct and might not work with every outfit. I see what Smittie is saying, the dark of the bottom of the shoes needs to be anchored with something else...

And yes, I'm always on the lookout for a cooler taupe-ish tan/brown/gray shoe; they're not very easy to find.

Thanks, Smittie and Laura. I thought the dark grey might be book ended with my hair. Perhaps not! I ordered these on a whim--after having them in my cart forever. I have no qualms about sending them back if they don't work or are too difficult to make work. Thanks for chiming in!

I love your sweater and the cream white combo is fab. I like the boots but do agree with smittie. Have you tried cognac boots? Or metallic?

Thanks, Colette! I have a pair of cognac boots that are waiting in the wings. I should have posted them side by side. I thought the ombre looked better but maybe not. I do like metallic but don't really want them for work.

I love your white outfit but am a bit stumped as to how best to complement it with footwear. The boots look great of themselves but somehow don't do a lot for the white pants. Proportions and all that.
I think it is easier to style white pants with more of a bootie peaking out than tucked into boots. But I am not experienced with boot-tucks.

I had this problem and my best booties with white are SE Python ( grey and white/cream snake). You might look for something like that. I think you would look great in snake patterned boots.

Well you look so good in the whiteout it is hard to be objective about the boots, but I love ombre!

I second Joy's idea about snake in a white and gray. Or Angie's spotted white booties.

Well, I don't know the best color boots for your outfit, but those boots are awesome! I remember seeing them, and coming back to them again and again. I agree that they might be difficult to style, though. They would have to be the star of the outfit, maybe a head to toe dark blue or something like that. So, no advice here, but I hope you figure out how to wear them.

@unfrumped:You make a good point about the short booties. Most of my jeans are straight legs or bf style. Proportions would probably be better with a lower shaft boot. Thanks.
@joy and Ummlila: I love the idea of a white/grey python bootie! I will keep an eye out for something like that.
@JAileen: I know. Aren't they so cool! I really like them but I do agree they probably have to be the star of the show. I really need an every day kind of work horse so I will be returning these for something more versatile. I'm glad I tried them though. I sized up a half in the Billy. They are a little narrower at the toe than the Carson style. Just an FYI.

No make up and you look simply gorgeous!

Echoing Joy and Ummila - my go to footwear for white out ensembles is a pair of SE Petty booties. The taupe colour is fantastic - it has a greyish look to it.

Thanks, Merwoman! Taupe may be the way to go--seems like that color may be easier to find. I just need to find something other than the Petty (which don't like my feet.)

I've just commented on Shevia's post that a dark sole and elastic inset chelsea bootie looks the best shoe choice for a white bottom, at least to my very particular eyes:-). I mean the dark sole and insets will bookend the darks if there are any (hair for you, and outerwear for me). This been said, love your grey ombre boots, but find them still a bit heavyto the outfit(for an indoors look). But if your weater cannot tolerate shorter boots and you'll be coated any other then a bright white coat than it is really the best choice!

I love the fun ombre boots and they bookend your hair, but I get that a more versatile, less statement pair are also needed. The petty's don't work for me either, but I have Ivanka Trump Ramadas that do (a little more heel than petty, but not too much)

Haven't tried these, but the price is right ($56 in my size) for these Lucky Tolachina's if suede is not your thing.They're in my cart...

I love the look of these boots with the white. I'm not sure why so many others don't. I think they are fab. I was looking at Pinterest yesterday, and notices that people in all white wear every color and style of boot with their outfits, even black. Perhaps all you need to do is coordinate a purse with one of the tones in the Ombré?

I have an All White board on Pinterest. It's easy to find examples of people wearing white/cream. I would look there.
