I am so grateful for all your input Ladies! Helen- I didn't realise you are an Aussie too. Are there many Trenery stores in WA? Unfrumped thanks- I like some of their stuff too, but always look for Navy, blue and grey amongst the black and white. Parsley- thanks, I am leaning in favour of keeping now for sure!
Well I find this very appealling. For me, though, at that price (and you say it is pricy for you) I would have to wear it a LOT. Do you think you would
Also, I have a bit of a problem ( in practice) with self fabric ties. I always feel like I have that bulky, dressing gowning LOOK though paradoxicaly I love the cosiness of how it FEELS!
And Unfrumped- I like your idea of trying some different tops and bottoms with this to make myself feel more comfortable with the new silhouette. Thanks!
Cross-posted Anne! You are right- a previous similar styled knit I may donate for this newby had a self tie. I didn't use it, BUT it was quite narrow and insubstantial. Gryffin posted a great link showing a similar style knit with a proper belt added- food for thought.
Stunning on you, I hope you keep it. If it's any help boiled wool wears like iron and lasts a very long time... It repels water to some degree even after being washed. It is also imo the perfect weight for almost any occurance. I wear my old boiled wool blazer in all of our seasons and brought it travelling to Ireland last August and wore it every single day. Yet here I am at home in this blistering cold and also wearing it.
Love it Lyn! Keep, keep, keep it!! It'll make a great completer piece and I'm sure after the first five minutes you wear it you won't even think about feeling self-conscious! I need to pay a visit to our local Trenery....
Wow. Adding another enthusiastic "keep it!" to the thread. Love the color, the drape, the cut. It looks really fantastic on you and will be very versatile in terms of what you can style it with, imho.
Hi lyn, yes there are several Trenery stores in WAust, my hairdresser is based at the Claremont Quarter, so have a look in Trenery at the same time. It is always an exercise in restraint
