K/R: black watch plaid flannel skinnies

I ordered these Joe's black watch plaid skinnies from Piperlime earlier this week, and they arrived last night. They fit well and are super comfy. The material is basically thick flannel with a bit of stretch. What do you think? Does the concept of plaid flannel pants just make you think of PJs? (As an aside, J. has not seen them yet. I'll bet he's going to say, "hey those are just like my PJs!")

The length is borderline too short for my taste, but that is the same story with all skinnies this season (as per my rant in Angie's jeans thread). I'll just wear boots/booties with them.

I'm not really worried about what to wear with them. Black watch plaid pretty much matches my entire wardrobe. =P

To my eye they look too pajama-y, but I see undergrads sporting this look + UGGs all the time.

I like them and because of the cut they don't read pjs to me (but I'm mad for plaid anyway)- Styled like skinnies and not like pjs you're set.

Jeanne, that's what I was hoping too, that if they were skinny enough it wouldn't read like PJs. I decided not to size up for the slouchy look because of that.

I was gonna say, Diana... I don't think I've ever seen you with Uggs!

That being said, the pants fit quite well and I think it can be well integrated within your style. I can't decide for you whether to keep or return it, so let me ask you this - do you like this piece a lot? Would you be able to integrate it with many items in your closet? (From what I've seen of your WIW's I think you can!!!!)

I don't get the pyjama feel from these at all, the fit is so different. I think these will be a very fun piece for your wardrobe!

I really love them Diana but I think that perhaps one would need to see them irl to answer. In the pics I do not see flannel (pj's) but I am generally I have to see it irl person.

They don't look like pajamas to me in the picture. I think they look great, sound comfy, and I think they will work if you style them like skinnies. As you pointed out, they will integrate well into your wardrobe!

These look fantastic on you. I'd only associate them with pjs if they were looser.

It depends what you wear with them. Here shown with a Tee, they look a bit pj-ish; but add booties, a funky print on top, a leather jacket and you're in business.

I don't see pajamas at all! However tight-fitting flannel seems odd to me. I think I might prefer a less bodycon fit. IDK, maybe that's just my new love of slouch talking.

Thanks, everyone. General consensus seems to be that they are sufficiently non-pajama-ish so I think I will be keeping them. Excited to style them!
