K/R BCBG Nodin top

I bought this after a store stylist picked it out for me. In some ways I love it (with jacket over top) and some ways not so much (bare). It's totally unlike anything else I have, which is cool, but it's outside my comfort zone so I'm very unsure about it. The price was not too bad on clearance.

I forgot to take a photo with my black tank under it, it adds a lacy panel in the back that looks interesting. This is the tank: http://www.target.com/p/conver.....lors/-/A-1

Flattering or not so much?

I'm also testing two different sandals, the mismatch is intentional!

I love it both by itself and with a jacket. What don't you like about it? Why do you think it is out of your comfort zone?

Well, it looks great on you, but that doesn't mean you need to keep it.

I am not in love with it. I like the tank you posted better. If it is a decision between these two, then the tank by a mile!

I really like it worn on its own too, actually:-) I think the style and the colours are flattering on you. What element about it is out of your comfort zone, Betti?

I do like it, but I'm not familiar with your style except your EF post. Is this more bohemian than you usually dress?

I like it a lot! Preferably on its own with the white, and as a summer top. But if you feel too uncomfortable with the bareness, then pass. It definitely looks good on you, though. You have a lovely shoulder line!

ETA: I like both sandals.

I like the top best on its own. Its very flattering to your shoulders and arms and the colors work for your skin tone. I think that it looks like an easy-breezy summer top, so to me, it doesn't look all that great with tall black boots, black jacket, etc. The way you have it paired with the white bottoms is perfect IMO! What is it about this that takes you out of your comfort zone?

Rae, you hit the nail on the head - it's more bohemian than I'm used to. Yesterday I posted a WIW that showed how I usually dress. For summer, solid T, solid shorts/pants. I'm so bored with that and I need to have some fun but sometimes I don't know if it's fun or just a bad look for me. I live with all men (hubby and two sons) so I get no real feedback here at home.

It's definitely a very good hot weather top, and I don't have any decent ones, so it fills a hole in my wardrobe.

As for the sandals, I like both too! But one pair (flat gladiator style) makes a funny air noise when I walk. Not too sure I want that, lol.

In terms of flattery I like the EF better, but this one is cute and less formal, and it's floaty-different, and so serves a different function. It goes better with casual shorts and rolled pants and such than the EF, for example, and so is more summery-relaxed. So just noodle on whether you'll wear it, but I think it could be fun.

I think this looks really really good!
The colour seems flattering to your skin tone and hair, and it is an interesting shape and design.

I like it on you. And I love your poses where you're walking -- they remind me of the old "Charlie!" perfume ads. (You're probably too young to remember those, so I found one for you!)

To me it reads "spring/summer" all the way. I wouldn't try to winterize it.

I wouldn't buy this top myself just because I wouldn't be able to wear a regular bra with it. But if that doesn't bother you, I think it's really pretty on you.

Lol, Alicat, yes I do remember the Charlie ads (I'm certainly old enough)! The camera takes 3 shots at a time so when I move that's what I get. I have a couple bandeaus to wear under the top so I'm all set there.

I took the tag off and washed the top - it's mine fer sher now!
