This may be too hard to answer. You look nice, but it's not my personal taste. Which should mean nothing to you! It's really about how you FEEL- are you comfortable? Do you see yourself actually using this?

My hesitation perhaps is the combination of sheer + short, I personally would go for one or the other (sheer but longer or very short but not sheer).

I feel like this doesn't flatter you as it could. I think it's the dropped waist which is giving me pause. I'd like is much better with a higher waist, or even no defined waist at all - it would work fine since it's sheer and short.

I agree this may be more a personal preference thing. I go for board shorts or a board skirt. Or an easy breezy dress, but I've never gone sheer.

I think that the fit is OK, but I'm with Florence that I think that a higher waist would be more flattering.

I like it. However, what kind of fabric is it? What would it look like wet? Would it be completely see-thru? I always worry about that with cover ups.

Thanks everyone who weighed in. Thanks to Angie in particular. Many of you have picked out my concerns. Too longwaisted and too sheer. Also the fabric, georgette, isn't breathable. I like the breezy look and fun color, but non-breathable fabric for beach/pool wear would be a no-go for me.

I'm terribly jealous of your southern hemisphere summer right now. It's not even that cold right now where I live (40 degrees F), but sunshine is a rare commodity.

Lying around a pool (wish we could do this more often!) this would be fine.
For walking around I think it would look good with a loose long short to balance the longer length and dropped waist.

ETA in the link the model is tall and long-armed. I think it is actually meant to be shorter and more form-fitting, and that is where my concerns re. fit are coming from

ATlynn - it has been really hot like 40 C!! It really takes us it out of you.

Lyn - I agree that it would look better on someone bigger.

Mo, I felt I needed something to protect my shoulders. Board shorts look terrible on me anyway, and I have no success in finding a skim skirt, which has also been on my list for years.

Wrap dresses make wonderful swimsuit covers, I also like loose linen pants and loose linen jackets. I've never been thrilled with the items made as swimsuit cover-ups.

These cover-ups are so hard to find. Can you sew one out of cotton gauze?
