So sorry to post and disappear. I didn’t want to respond until I had pinned them up a bit and tried them with a couple of new (tags still on) toppers. Truth be told nearly all my toppers are fairly short and none fall below my crotch point so they don’t fall where the pants are full.

I really appreciate that and you had me thinking long and hard. I am making a trip out to Nordstrom tomorrow so I knew I had to make a decision.
These jeans don’t flare out like normal wide legs and they also don’t really taper. Believe it or not, I really like how ridiculous they look. I came to my senses however and decided that it was stupid to keep the original length because it would limit my shoe choices. They came with a pretty thick (1 inch?) hem as shown in the last photo. This is what they look like when pinned up by a hem’s width. Not much difference, right? But it allows me to wear most of my shoes without tripping.
Any opinions on the two toppers? I am keeping the plaid one for sure, but the sleeves are rolled twice so I have to decide whether I will bite the bullet and have them shortened.
