K/R: Anthro tops and orange pants

These are some of the last few things I ordered during the post-Christmas sales. I am going to split up the keep or return threads, one for each store. Please help me decide if any of these are worth keeping or not. Thanks for your input!

1-2 Bailey 44 Slung sash tee in black polka dot. size M I like this on the best of all the three colors, but am worried it's too similar to my polka dot top in #3.
4. Called "Red"--but it's more like a coral pink. Not sure about this color on me.
5. Moss green. The tops are pretty long if you don't scrunch them. Also, not sure if they are clinging to my belly too much.
6. Starred entry tee size S. Uggghhh, my apple belly! Pretty sure this one's going back!
8-10. AG Stevie skinny cords in orange, size 28. The same ones that Cathy has (waving!). But I'm not sure if it's a little too bright/garish for me. There's a darker orange pair of Pilcro cords I might try instead.

I'm not an expert on jeans fit so I'll defer to the others. How do they feel? Do you like the bright orange or do you want to stay in the rust family?

I vote pass on the tops. I bought several of these long, clingy knit tops and I do not like the way they make me feel! Long and loose is one thing, but long and tight is a tough one to pull off (especially with bumpy jeans underneath). I do appreciate the clever necklines and the pattern of the first one and I can see why you were drawn to them.

You might consider keeping the first top but I think the others are all returns? Not 10's to my eye and you are curating a fab wardrobe .

The best top, I think is #3. I'm not as fond of the other ones.

As for the jeans, they are very orange! Will this go with your wardrobe?

I agree with lyn* about the tops. The jeans are a lush colour - can you make a few outfits with them? Or will they become orphans?

I'd return all tops. I agree with Lynn that the best is #3, and you already own it; that's good!

The jeans, I'll defer to others on fit. But I like the sound of a darker orange, I think.

I like the top in #1 but it is like #3. I would pass on the others. I don't like the way the jeans fit you...too many wrinkles. You can do much better with your small hips!

You are too fabulous for any of these -- you deserve to be picky and choose 10's.

I'd say pass. The top is not a great fit and the jeans are pulling at the crotch. Not great.

I like the first top, but it is similiar to #3, which I think I like even better.

OK! I think I will return all the tops. Glad the favorite was the one I already own! I will order the Pilcro cords and see if they fit better. I think the AG Stevie orange might be a bit bright to work with my clothes--these Pilcros look like a better shade for me:

again, I'd return the whole lot. Your existing polka dot top is much more flattering than #1, and the others are too clingy.
And what was the little rhyme that someone (maybe Rae) had... crotch frown, pants too big, crotch smile, pants too tight? I'm sure I butchered it, but the pulling in the crotch just seems wrong here.

Another vote for returning everything... I like the polka dot top but your existing one is better. The new one has that sort of awkward combo of long and clingy around the bottom going on, so i think the proportions of the old one are better. I like the color of the pants but the fit around the crotch seems to be a little off.

Oh, and ETA: I don't know if the Pilcro cords are anything like the Pilcro jeans, but if they are you will want to buy them very tight - my mustard jeans tend to stretch like mad over the day, and I regret not sizing down.

I agree with the others. Your current top is better. The jeans just don't fit right at all. I like the bright color, however.

*wave to Natalie* I guess I am biased -- I like the orange of the Stevie cords! But I think the darker color will go better with your wardrobe. I'm not good at commenting on fit -- but you have them in white in the same size, right?

Of the new tops, I like the polka dot Bailey 44 the best, but it is too similar to your existing one (which is cuter). I ended up returning my Bailey 44 tops -- the neckline wasn't working for me.

I think the orange pants have potential, if you can find something with a larger inseam. They appear to be riding up. Are these petite? If so, try regular sizing.

I'd return it all - the tops seem too clingy, and the orange pants do not seem like you. Sorry! Your polka dot shirt outfit is so far by comparison to any of these...

Yep, I agree that everything should be returned. #3 is such a great outfit and nothing here compares to that. Hold out for 10's. Would bright orange work with your wardrobe? It seems like you usually favor more muted/jewel tones?

Cathy, you are right, I do have the AG Stevie cords in ivory. Hmm, I posted a WIW with the ivory ones (same size) but nobody seemed to think they were too tight then:

I'm going to keep the orange Stevies till the Pilcro cords come in, and if the Pilcro ones are better (I think the darker orange would work better for me) then I'll return them. And I agree, none of the tops seem to flatter me.
