K/R Ann Taylor bubble hem top

I have ants in my pants! My account will be active in two days and I have several items I would like opinions on, so I'll scratch my itch for now by posting just the one item with links.

This navy top is completely different from anything I have ever worn. What do you think?

Nice top! I love bubble hems because they are waist surrendering and so comfy. I like the pattern too. I prefer it with the pants rather than the skirt. It might be a bit long for the skirt. Maybe try tucking it in with the skirt instead?

I like this top. I prefer the top with the skirt actually but that's just my preference!

Thanks for your opinions. Does it fit the way they are supposed to? This top was much more costly than what I usually spend so I want to make sure it looks nice. It just seemed to feel good so I stepped out of my usual box.

I think the fit is good. With these types of tops, I usually size down so it's not too billowy. You might try a smaller size just to see. There's a sale at Ann Taylor, buy one get one 50% off so you might see if there's something else you like to get the deal

KathyL, I bought it during the sale and ended up with a burgundy ruched tank as well. Something I probably wouldn't have looked at before the suggestion was made on one of my other threads. I think they have trick mirrors to make everything look good though.

I ended up exchanging it today for a smaller size and am more comfortable with the fit. Can this style be worn under a jacket, or does that defeat the purpose of the shirt? I was thinking of my white denim.
