I love the flats. I do like the jacket, however, I think you have quite a good number of jackets in this exact shape or similar. I would suggest a more cropped, fitted jacket, if you were to add something new. You don't seem to have as much of that.

ETA: I would love to see the jacket with your white jeans and the yellow top you paired with the shabby apple skirt.

I love the jacket with the skirt and your sarah's! When I saw this picture, I couldn't help thinking, wow! What a totally Shannon outfit! I'm surprised that you're returning this one. It just seems to fit your style so well.

Perhaps one in/one out something from your closet to make this one work??

Hi Shannon, I just had to sign in quick to say that I LOVE the jacket! I think if it wasn't that expensive and you love it, you should keep it. I don't think a jacket like this is meant to go with a ton of things, it's kind of a statement piece. Anyway, I'm no help, but I love it. I think the thrift store is the perfect place to get a fun piece like this that you wouldn't want to spend a lot of money on, but is "you" and super fun and cool! The shoes are great, too!

Well, now you've all got me rethinking my jacket decision. Sometimes keep/return threads just make me more confused when there are such conflicting comments (and I mean NO OFFENSE by saying that - this is expected when we post something for K/R).

If you can all bear with me and put up with some more photos, I might do a few more stylings tonight and post pics - with the white jeans (hadn't even thought of that Zap!), with my black midi and Doc Marcie's, etc.

Rita - I really like your idea of the one in/one out if I decide to keep the jacket.

Thanks for your patience and advice everyone!

Ooo, I too love the idea of the white jeans. Looking forward to seeing that combo.

Try the white jeans and the BF jeans from a few days ago, that should be interesting. I think any skirt or dress in a solid color is a safe bet as well.

Well ladies - this is the last bit I'm writing on this jacket (I promise!). I'm definitely returning it. Although it totally suits my style, I do find the boxy shape jacket difficult to work with. I already have a couple in this shape and do struggle with them - they are definitely a figure surrendering type of shape. I love the fabric pattern of this jacket but that's not enough of a reason to keep for me. I also had another bit of an epiphany when I grabbed my cropped fitted denim jacket at lunch time and realize I may actually be over the boxy and swing shaped jackets. I felt much more svelte in the cropped and fitted jacket. I'm also really liking the slimmer longer jacket (like my magenta one).

So wave bye-bye to this pretty lady and hope that someone else grabs it who will love it. Now...on to hunt for blouses...

Good call. As I said, you have plenty of this type of blazer.
