K/R: American Eagle denim jackets and loungewear

This is the Angie-recommended American Eagle cropped denim jacket. Thanks Mochi for posting about the 20% off coupon code and to qfbrenda for her advice about fit. For once I only ordered one size (small) and it fits! I'm so happy it worked out! I really like the light blue denim one. I have a dark blue denim one from Gap, but it's hip length and I really wanted a cropped one to wear with dresses. I just threw it on over today's clothes so it's not really styled how I would wear it, but what do you think? I am showing it buttoned up to show that it fits buttoned, but would mostly wear it open.

I also bought a white one. Not sure if that one will be as versatile as the blue--will have to see how it looks with other clothes in my closet.

And is it pathological that I can't even buy loungewear without YLF approval? I really need some new loungewear and this is the brand that Angie has recommended in the past. These are all small (the long blue lounge pants are small-short).

I'm pretty happy with everything except two T shirts that are so thin they're a bit sheer, but they were only $9 so not really worth the return shipping (I can keep them for home use). What do you think, keep or return on all of these?

I love the cropped AE jacket- fab fit on you. I just bought the same one today and love the cropped length and faded wash. I bought a similar white jacket but from levi's and like you have mixed feelings about it too!!

Loungewear is what it is, no one really sees it (mine either) unless someone drops by and then you feel fully dressed so I think the loungewear is cute for that:)

I actually like the white jacket more than the light blue denim. Is it my imagination, or is the white longer?
As for loungewear, I'm all about flowy modal blends that feel like a dream on your skin.

Mo--good eye! I just checked and the white one is a couple inches longer! What brands of flowy loungewear do you like? All I have are PJ bottoms and scuba diving T-shirts so my loungewear capsule is seriously lacking.

I love both jackets!! You should keep the white one too, it will be super in the summer. The loungewear is nice. How do you feel about the wide legs? I am kind of digging the ones with the elastic bottoms a tiny bit more for lounging at home.

Natalie, Target has Gilligan O'Malley modal wear but I'm usually sized out of it. I have some Victoria's Secret loungepants (you have to really search for the modal) and some random brand of gauchos I found in TJ Maxx years back. Modal shirts are usually easier to find. Some are mixed in with the regular tees.

I really like both denim jackets on you. I think the blue one is a perfect length, and looks really good opened up. It's more relaxed or something. Is the white jacket a little longer? I think it would be a great option if you have cool springs, as it really adds a spring/summer vibe. The loungewear looks great, although if it were me I'd go more for comfort than anything!

Mo--sorry to be dense, but what does "modal" mean? Is it a kind of cotton? Does it say modal on the tag?

The jackets look great! I'm envious of your long arms! The sleeves on the denim one are seriously long.... as in, almost to my finger tips. I had to alter the sleeves so I could roll them up to a decent length. LOL I'm glad you won't have to alter anything.

The lounge wear looks very cozy.

Natalie, it's a fiber (I want to say from bamboo?) that is naturally breathable and moisture wicking, but it's SO soft. It has a silky drape to it. I found the Target pants but I remember small being too big for me. http://www.target.com/p/Gillig.....ticipation

Like Mo, I actually prefer the look of the white one --- but that's probably just my personal bias, I think it *might* be a tad more versatile (for dressing down a more formal look a notch). But both seem to have a great fit.

I love the white jacket. I was looking at something like that yesterday.
I love the faded jean one,. The only thing is that it might be too cropped for pants, but I'm not sure about this. The loungewear is nice, Is it comfortable? I have several sweatpants from AE, they stretch like a million sizes so don't worry if they are snug now.

Love the denim jackets. I think the white looks great against your lovely dark hair. Both should get heaps of wear. Your loungewear looks great. I relate as my lounge wear capsule is sadly lacking also.

I personally prefer the white one on you. I just received my AE cropped on in the blue denim and I am not sure I will keep it. I ordered it in a medium but where the bottom hits me feels just a little TOO fitted. Not tight but just more fitted then I would like. Comfy is my motto.

Natalie: I like both jackets, but I think the blue one is a little too short for a lot of pant looks -- better over dresses, I'm sure. I love the fit, length and style of the white. In loungewear, I like the flow of #8 best. I've just retired some of my loungewear and I'm getting pickier about it. I want to feel fab for myself!
