K/R: 3 dresses and a skirt

What do you think of these various outfits? Do you think the EF dresses are duplicative? What should I keep, and what should I return? Thanks for your opinions.

1-3 Chaps denim dress from Kohl's, with various shoes

5 Eileen Fisher asymmetrical jersey dress in Moon
6 Nic + Zoe: batiste flirt skirt in Ash, perfect layer tank, four way convertible cardigan

At just a quick glance (I'm procrastinating and need to get back to work), I really like #1 with the open toe booties.

I really like the denim dress!
N & z outfit is pretty too. The skirt is really lovely.
Not liking the EG dresses as much though . Maybe they are too long?

I like the second EF dress with the asymmetric hem better than the first EF dress. I love the denim dress - I recently found something similar and it's been getting a ton of wear this spring. Also, love the silvery skirt.

I like the last one best...I have that same N&Z sweater in a burgundy color and you've given me an idea of how to wear it in spring..plus it looks great on you and the colors are really nice..the denim one looks good too. The two EF dresses don't seem to have much panache. Not awful just not great. I have this criticism of a lot of EF items although there also some that are really lovely.

Janet, Momo, Sara, Chris, thank you for your honest opinions. I had tried on the skirt with another top and it looked awful. I thought for sure it was going. I think the sweater softens it. The EF dresses felt fab when I put them on. I thought for sure I'd be keeping them. Strange, huh? The denim dress was an impulse buy.

Love #5. Killer.

#6 is lovely, although my least favourite. I think it's the cardi. Perhaps find another topper.

Angie, thank you! I'm glad you like the shirt dress! EF #5 killer?! Yeah! The two EF dresses feel fab. In pictures, though, apparently there no love for #4. Sadly, it was the one on sale!

The skirt is problematic. I think it needs a sweater because otherwise it's just a tank top. I want to be able to wear this to church, dinner, maybe even a wedding. I'll keep looking.

I like the shirt dress the best then the EF with the handkerchief hem then the other EF dress. I'm not a huge fan of the N&Z outfit compared to the others.

Love the denim dress in all the stylings and the EF dress in #5. The other EF dress looks less flattering on you in the picture and is too similar to #5.

Elle, thank you for your thoughts. I was thinking the two EF dresses were too similar, too. Now, in the picture I think #4 also makes me look shorter, for some reason.

Love the denim dress and the EF dress #5. The EF dress #4 is OK, but I like #5 much better on you. The last outfit is very cute and I would try it with white cropped denim jacket instead of the cardigan.

Love the denim dress (especially in 1) and no 5. I think the skirt in no 6 is also pretty and flattering. I like Tanya's suggestion for a topper.

I really love the shirt dress. I think it looks better on you than I have seen it look on anyone yet, even the models in every advertisement, and online picture, etc. I also like the dress in number 5. Number 6 is okay too. I do wonder if both 5&6 are similar enough in color that you would need both?

Staysfit, thank you! That's very nice of you! When you say 5 and 6, do you mean the two dresses or the light grey dress and the skirt? I was wondering if the two EF dresses were too similar. It seems people like the light grey one better, which is unfortunate, because the other one was on sale!

Another vote here for denim (especially with the booties in #1) plus #5. Sorry, not loving the first EF on you - something is a little off .

I think the two scoop neck dresses are dying for a chunkier necklace, a scarf or a topper!
There just needs to be something more up top. But that's of course just my opinion.

I also think the handkerchief hem of the last dress works a little better than the straight hemline of the darker grey one.

The first one is an easy keep, it looks great and easy to wear. Four is just dull and six looks flimsy. Five is actually very pretty on you, I especially like the fit of the top part and the color is lovely.

Lisa, thank you. I can see the first EF makes me look bigger than I am, and short for some reason. And I'm not short - I'm 5'6".

Smittie, thank you! Transcona Shannon had the Steve Madden open toe booties and I loved them. They're just a little too tall for me, at 3 inches. I just got the Calvin Klein pewter loafers and the Johnston & Murphy flat sandals. The grey heeled sandals are Josef Seibel and are super comfortable. I basically didn't style the outfits, except for shoes - I can definitely put on a better necklace. Thanks for the suggestion.

A jacket rather than a cardigan would be an improvement because it would add definition but I think the look of 1 and 5 is much more flattering to you.
1 is obviously structured by the seaming but 5 is also cut just right and looks neat and modern. You look comfortable and also sophisticated.

Isabel, thank you for your thoughts. I definitely think the skirt is a problem. If I could find a better top, then I'd be in business. The skirt may have to go back for lack of appropriate supporting pieces.

My favorites are the shirt dress and the skirt outfit. I think the EF dresses fit you well but need something, but I'm not sure what, maybe a more visible necklace?

Bonnie, thank you! I should have styled them better. All I did was put possible shoes with them. I do have a couple of necklaces that might work with the lighter dress, and maybe a scarf. No one seems the like the darker EF dress. The photo makes me look shorter than I am. Probably operator error!
