K/R 2 sweaters and K/T a dress

At the beginning is a lightweight crazy print dress that I enjoy wearing. DH HATES it. Looking at pics I'm wondering if he's correct. K/T? If K I'd wear it with skinnies or leggings, tall boots and a heavier sweater in the fall/winter. No problems T though.

I picked up 2 open cardis at UO and am not sure if they're keepers. I loved both when tried on but in pics I feel like they're just "meh". K/R? I showed the pointelle cardi with a bunch of items; the long tribal one I'd wear with layering tops and tall boots. Again, no problems R if I should; I have 2 other things to take back anyway.

I really like the shorter cardi! I don't really like where the longer one cuts off at the bottom - I think it would cut me off in a similar place. I love how you've styled the shorter one, though!

I also think the dress is cute! I'm not sure why your dh hates it...but I understand that it's hard to feel good in something you know your SO doesn't like. I'm okay if my dh is meh on something, but it sounds like he has a strong reaction.

DH is seeing things I love the dress. It looks great with leggings, belted and with the cardis. I really like the front of the tribal cardigan. I'm not so sure about the print in the back. It's different and fun though. The shorter cardi looks like a nice lightweight layering piece. Seems pretty versatile. You are so cute!

Well, I like the dress on you. It looks really cute with the leggings! The tribal cardi is fun and seems to be trending big time and can see it with tall boots! I think the other cardi has potential too, not sure about the length of it though with the tops you are wearing it with here, this always trips me up so I will be anxious to see what everyone else thinks!

I don't care at all if DH hates the dress--I just want to be sure I'm not deluding myself! Most of the time I wear things he likes but I don't mind doing my own thing too. I really like the dress but I've liked things in the past that were objectively really bad on me. Funny, my sister has it too and her partner also hates it. Maybe it's just a man repeller.

Fun and different is my goal with the tribal cardi. With the light one, the length is what I'm unsure about too, as well as if it's too "sweet" for me.

I actually feel like I'm having a bad hair day, so thanks for the sweet words all of you *blush*

I like the dress on you very much, but I can see the pattern as not appealing to a guy. How does he feel about the tribal jacket, then? I like it as something unusual. The cream cardi doesn't excite me, but I guess that's their practical nature!

I'm leaning towards returning the pointelle cardi. I really want one (or two or three) cardis with textural interest but the lacy look of the pointelle is just feeling too fussy and too sweetly romantic and girly to me. And I'm not sure on the length.

I need to see what I have that I can actually layer the tribal cardi with. Pretty sure all I have are black Ts, white Ts, and possibly a chambray button-down.

DonnaF, DH didn't like any of the stuff I got from UO, particularly, except for a pair of black skinnies--the best he could muster was "It's OK" and that was clearly only because he could tell I wanted him to approve. He would like me to dress in form-fitting black with a steampunk/cyberpunk twist 24/7! I like the punk aspects but not so much the all black all the time.

Love the print dress. Love the cardigan and it plays so well with your other pieces you've styled it with.

I am not crazy about the tribal cardi. I am just going to say this... please forgive me... I saw that and my immediate reaction was Big Liebowski. Now, maybe that is what you are going for, it could have its irony, if you are a fan of that cult classic (as I am). You do wear it well. I am only saying... do you bowl?

Meanwhile, the lacy cardi is like the rug that ties the whole room together...

Hi Kari and Shiny! So nice to see your familiar lovely faces. I've never seen the Big Lebowski, can you believe it? I genuinely like the loud geometric tribal prints but I am now thinking this one looks a bit too... cheap? Something.

Hmm. Perhaps the lacy cardi is a keeper.

Your husband is crazy!! That dress is totally a keeper. The pattern is great and the colours are very very flattering on you. They really complement your warm (I think it is warm) skin tone. The only objection I think he could have is that the shoulder straps maybe aren't ideal, though I think the neckline is also very nice. Unless, of course, he is the type of husband who prefers everything to be form fitting and body conscious... I know mine certainly is!

I think I am in the minority here, but I like the tribal sweater on you more than the pointelle cardi. The tribal one is very on trend right now, and I like the colours there, too. The way the pattern falls (those two green stripes) gives you a strong shoulder line which I think looks really cool given the long kind of flow-y nature of the piece. Shiny is right, though, it totally looks like the Big Lebowski. Then again, Jeff Bridges is way cool in that movie. I mean, they don't call him "The Dude" for nothing!

On the other hand, while I think the cream cardigan is very pretty, as my grandmother would say, "it doesn't do anything for you." Don't get me wrong, please! It certainly isn't unflattering in any way, shape or form. You must have an eye for colour, because this one too looks great on you. But, I don't know, despite its loveliness, it isn't moving me the way the other two are.
