K/R 2 New Tops

Here are two tops that just arrived. Apologies for the kitty, he was being very, very helpful tonight!

1. Wrap top in a pretty green. Print and a wrap. it looks better in person that in the photo, I think.
2. V-Neck top in teal. Again, I thought it looked better in person, but seeing the picture . . . It is made of a soft material my skin loves!

Again, honesty welcome. Would ratehr send them back than keep a future closet orphan.

I really like #1 as is, pretty and flattering. I think #2 could work as a layering piece, maybe under a blazer, or with a scarf and sleeves scrunched perhaps (the sleeves look a little short, edit, of course I meant long!)

Colours are lovely. #1 definitely a keeper. The second one is also lovely and softness is a bonus, although I was going to suggest trying a blouse underneath, or a scarf, just to add some balance and contrast (does that make sense?).

You look beautiful in these colours. As you know, that wrap style is a slam dunk for you, so if you have a need for #1, I say KEEP! I really like #2 as well but probably more as a layering piece. As for kitty....I just love the way our furry friends always want to get in on the action. My cat does this, too.

Oh yes, #1 is a definite keeper in my opinion. I like the curve of the hem. Not sure about #2. There isn't anything wrong with it, it just isn't as nice as #1.

I really like the color of both of them on you. I think #1 is more flattering, both in style and the pattern vs. solid. That one really looks nice! I think the solid would make a good layering top, especially if it is cozy.

If you have to choose between the two, I prefer the first one.

#1 is fabulous on you - colour, shape fit all perfect imo.
Would you wear #2 as a layering piece? If yes then I'd keep it. If no then I'd send it back.

I love the structure and strong shoulder and print the wrap top provides. I understand the pain it is when photos do not convey color correctly. Sometimes pictures just seem to flatten color out -- no pop.

I love the neckline of #2. Because of your narrower shoulders I think the V may be too wide on its own. A narrower v would work better -- similar to the v in the wrap top. Otherwise I think green is your color!

Definately keeping #1. May consider trying to find something similar. I really only have a couple of wrap tops, but since I am beginning to think they need to be a staple for me.

I will use #2 as a layering piece. I picked up a few camis as I realized this was a wardrobe hole for me, especially as I add more wrap tops. I like to wear camis underneath as a just in case factor!

Both are simply gorgeous colours on you.

Number one really suits you well. I like that it has the darker colour of the pants in it but is lightened up by the green as I find this gives a more fluid line.

Thistle, you really know your colors! Both of these are fab on you. The first top looks great as you've styled it, and the second would look great with a long scarf and/or under a blazer or denim jacket. Good job!

I just love # 1. It has both great color and right depth of color and the right size print, along with the great fit. Compare it to the dark print in the cardi you showed earlier, and it is much fresher and more modern-looking and lights up your skin tones.

# 2 is fine if you have ways you will combine in outfits because it is not as good as a stand-alone top, compared to #1, but can be easier to layer than wrap tops, and gives you a different look. Sometimes I buy too many plain tops relative to the ways I need to use them and they become orphans just because I reach for other items that have more punch, but if this is a wardrobe hole for you where you need more essentials, then go for it.
