K/R - Zipped Jacket: White, Cropped

So since posting the outfit in #10, I nixed the white cardigan, which I felt schlumpy in regardless of how I wore it, and started to keep an eye out for a new white cardigan.

Then I got to thinking about my style goals and came up with: Polished, Modern, Classic, maybe a little Edgy/Tough and decided a jacket might be both more Polished and Edgy/Tough.

Anyway, I came across this jacket and ordered it on a whim (*cough*fromforever21*cough*hack* - http://canada.forever21.com/Pr.....2019572263)

With the original outfit...
1-2: Open, 3-6: Closed, 7: open with tucked top

With pants and a chiffon blouse....
8-9

Thoughts?

i like the jacket better, but neckline conflicts with the tops you have on,

I love the jacket on you, but like bj1111 said, it conflicts with the collars of the tops you have on. But I must say, you look amazing in the pencil skirt/moto jacket silhouette! This is definitely a look worth pursuing and perfecting on you.

Jacket looks great - but as the others say, it's a question of tops. I always find jackets with that neckline a bit tough to style, but at the same time they can be very useful. One trick is to wear a scarf, but that doesn't work so well when you are going for a crisp modern look. (Makes it more Euro-chic looking). And I'm not sure it would be the best with this colour of jacket anyway.

the jacket is great, and it's the kind of find that keeps me going back to forever 21.
i really like the color cobalt blue on you, do you have a crew neck shirt in that color? it would really make the look.

I can relate -- most of my cardigans have gone away in favor of jackets! I really like this jacket on you -- the fit is nice. I agree with what the others are saying about the neckline -- simple crew and scoop necks seem to work best with this style, although a buttoned-up look may work too.

If it turns out this neckline is too restricting to be really versatile in your wardrobe, I would definitely look for another jacket like this but with a different collar style.
