I really like jackets, but my entire collection runs pretty classic (i.e., they're all "blazers"). I was hoping to branch out a bit this fall, so I decided to try Zara, since someone (Jonesy?) mentioned that they run small in the shoulders. Since I normally need petite sizing, I thought they might work for me, even though they only have regular sizes. So, here's the first round of attempts.
1/2/3/4 - I feel a bit like a Christmas tree in this and it may be too small across the chest (see me trying to close it?). When I tried it with a skirt, it looked a bit too sweet. What do you think?
5/6/7 - This is WAY to small across the chest as you can see in 5. And I'm not sure about the poofy shoulders, so I don't know if it's even worth sizing up. And is a white jacket really me?
8 - No way - the sleeves are too long and too complicated (piping, snaps) to alter.
9/10 - I swore I wouldn't jump on the Bailey Bandwagon, but I really like the colors of this when Shannon posted it. I'm a bit self-concious about its body-huggingness, and I'm not sure I could bring myself to wear it to work. It also is quite the tummy-revealer.
OK, I appreciate your wading through this rather long post and your opinions.
thanks!
